It seemed to me then that they indeed saw the church and their Priests as their salvation thru other conversations which followed. Mass and Lent was the extent of their conversations..so I inquired of these...they couldn't explain except that is what they do. You may notice that most if not all Catholic posters here are former Protestants...

No I hadn’t noticed most were former Protestants...and if that is the case I’m sure they each have their own story how that came about.
But can you really blame them? Take a look at the Protestant churches today...they have as many issues as the catholics. It’s..... the church as a whole and entire who has failed.... to secure those who want to follow Christ, and we all know that.. and our nation today reflects and evidences this.
