I just witnessed a couple of Orthodox posters get kicked off a "Catholic Caucus" thread. I thought, despite their differences, they had a mutual understanding that each sect was considered "Catholic". Are not the Orthodox considered Catholic? Why do the Romanists get to monopolize the term "Catholic"?
I consider myself to be Catholic being a part of the universal church of Christ. Why should one sect be able to use a universal concept to identify themselves in a caucus thread while other Christian denominations need to use specific qualifiers to identify themselves in a caucus thread?

The bloody sacrifice was a type of Christ all through the OT, starting with the skins God covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve with..He ordered bloody sacrifices for the covering/ forgiveness of sin throughout the OT .. Abel did as God commanded and took the best of his animals and slay it , Cain disobeyed and brought a false sacrifice.. one that could never cover his sin . I do nor much care what Cramer thinks unless he is infallible :)

Paul's words mean bondsman or indentured servant. If you are Calvinist, then this is a serious departure from Calvinism, perhaps a complete departure.
Actually Michael is the angel assigned,by God, to guard Israel.. Daniel 10:13,31; 12:1 and Last I heard it is still God, not the church that assigns angels ... I suspect Michael is a bit busy in the mid east right now:)
There is no scripture that suggest prayer to angels..in fact one must wonder just how an angel becomes a "saint", as a "Saint " is one in Catholic speak ,that lived a holy life..and did a few miracles after they died.. Seeing that michael never had sin, never lived a human life with all its temptations and was never saved by the blood of Christ ...it is really hard to figure out how the whole saint thing applies to them..but anyway..I think I will pray directly to the one Michael answers to in the chain of command :)

Any chance of you reading the Gospel of Jesus Christ? It's nice to see that your Bible contains other than Paul and the OT, don't get me wrong. But in order to call one's self a Christian, one must believe in Christ.

I know how strongly Catholic (and Lutherans and Anglicans, and the Orthodox) believe this..
My point, that I seem to keep missing is that when someone says it was always believed and always accepted as truth..it just is not so..
Actually coffee relieves asthma symptoms.. so enjoy... turn the hot water on in the shower and sit in the BR for a while
