I just witnessed a couple of Orthodox posters get kicked off a "Catholic Caucus" thread. I thought, despite their differences, they had a mutual understanding that each sect was considered "Catholic". Are not the Orthodox considered Catholic? Why do the Romanists get to monopolize the term "Catholic"?
I consider myself to be Catholic being a part of the universal church of Christ. Why should one sect be able to use a universal concept to identify themselves in a caucus thread while other Christian denominations need to use specific qualifiers to identify themselves in a caucus thread?
If I took that comment and paraphrase it by saying, "Your mother must decide whether to give you a piece of apple pie."; then how is that different that what is above. Your mother still must decide whether to give you a piece of apple pie or not.
There is nothing loading the text. With all due respect, you're not even making grammatical sense.

They really should break away. Once you invite the homosexuals in as PASTORS, the entire tree becomes rotten.
See what happens when, in the practice of YOPIOS, you take things out of context? The context is:
Hebrews 10: 26 14 If we sin deliberately after receiving knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains sacrifice for sins 27 but a fearful prospect of judgment and a flaming fire that is going to consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who rejects the law of Moses 15 is put to death without pity on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Do you not think that a much worse punishment is due the one who has contempt for the Son of God, considers unclean the covenant-blood by which he was consecrated, and insults the spirit of grace? 30 We know the one who said: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay," and again: "The Lord will judge his people." 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
This is about judgement of one's soul, not some pagan idea of a Jupiter or Odin killing people at random. Jesus is the God of love; He gathers the little children to Him. Remember His Two Commandments? That is not the sentiment expressed in your little snippet.
That is wonderful. But that blessing should be asked for by the Father through Christ.
That is what I think most of this thread has become. The Catholics think they can ask Mary or Saints or angels for blessings, and the rest think blessing's can only come from God through Christ.
And if on another occasion she had told me she made the pie for me and all I needed to do come and have some of it, the rest of your tortured logic collapses in a heap.
Thank GOD you are so verbal. That way, no one can tell if there’s any sense in the post, or not. You’re safe!
May Blessed Mary, Ever-Virgin, intercede for you to the Author of All Reason, that you may be blessed with some.
The Catholics believe they can ask Mary or Saints or angels for blessings from God, and we all agree that those blessing's can only come from God through Christ.

Subordinationalism was manifest in a group of heresies condemned beginning in the 300s AD. Have you resurrected them?
"should" according to YOPIOS. "Doesn't necessarily have to" according to "I believe in...the communion of saints...etc."
Oh—wait! “Some” is probably what you have already. Okay, “MORE”
The CIA Factbook or any non Calvinist world map does very well. The current spelling is Antakya, in case you have difficulties.
My apology, I made a personal post in 3470 (in fun). If you need to delete it, I accept that I deserve it.
OOps! Also another personal post in 3466 I think...sorry, I’ll do better, I promise.
So you ask Mary, saints or angels to ask God through Christ for blessings?
Sorry, I did not understand your comment fully before I hastily posted....
Which brings me back again to John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Again.......John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
NO ONE gets through to the Father, except through the Son.
Why is that so hard to comprehend?
AGAIN.......John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Do you people even READ your Bible???
The way that you word it makes Jesus subordinate to the Father. Not John, but your words. Are you a Trinitarian, believing in the Triune God?
I agree, “No man cometh unto the Father but by Christ.”
But if I recall correctly, I was talking to a saint. Mary. The Mother of Christ. Who is in heaven. Not dead. I think she can bless people, but the source of ALL blessing is God, through Christ. Kind of like, I can give my grandchild money, but the money comes from my employer, and we all know that. My grandchild thanks ME, not my employer.
RM7-””I see Catholics live a spiritual life that revolves around a 20 second encounter with what they believe is Christ and then their lives move on in he same direction..they do not know him more or understand him more,””
I see this statement coming from someone ignorant of Catholicism who waste’s their life posting an anti-Catholic agenda on FR and live their lives hoping that someone on their long ping list will puff them up and agree with them-meanwhile you have no idea how many devout Catholic’s understand Christ, pray fervently and serve others in humble charity in a Christlike life.
RM7””there is not one moment that He and I are not in spiritual union.. “”
That would make you sinless if there is not one moment you’re not in union with Christ.
Do you think Christ is in union with you during sins you commit? In the act of sin you’re separated, not united
RM-7””I have a question..what if the RC church is wrong and the bread is NOT the actual body of Christ, but it is actually a memorial ..””
Every single early Church father without a single exception believed Eucharist to be the actual Body of Christ present and I have been blessed enough to witness miracles associated with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament,so it is impossible that the Catholic Church is wrong.Sadly, it is you who is wrong.
There are many well documented Eucharistic miracle’s through the ages ,even a Video of the Sacred Host that bled beating like a human heart on December 8, 1991 during the celebration of midnight Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in Betania, Venezula

The miraculous bleeding Sacred Host is reserved in the Augustinian Nuns Chapel, Los Teques for all to see
