I have been looking for God my whole life. I first recognized Him in the black foster parents I worked with who manifested Christ-consciousness.
I then found him four years ago, when my parents died three weeks apart and I was carried by a force stronger than myself. And more recently, as Ive gone from left to right, I have discovered him in the many conservatives guiding me, such as AT readers.

She seems to know them what did she expect?
Please ping the Anglican / Episcopal lists.
I’ve enjoyed reading her posts over the past several months, and one theme she seems to keep returning to is her astonishment at the vitriolic nastyness of the left. And it’s not just movement types: ordinary, regular people, who had once been friends, now revile her. We’re all so used to it that we don’t notice it; does a fish notice the water?
I think it’s good to be reminded that this isn’t healthy behavior we see from the left. But it can be fun to watch their heads explode...
The 1% who do think deeper are just flat out greedy, manipulative doers of wickedness. They know what they are pushing dangerous and deceitful, but they see profit in it. They remind me of the Ferangi in Star Wars.
I received an icy reply from the priest, the Reverend Lucy, who said with barely-contained disgust, “I don't think you should check us out....
But an Episcopal priest rejecting me during the holiest time of year? Isn't anything or anyone sacred?
Who is the hypocrite here? Robyn makes it clear that she is putting politics over religion in looking for a new church, but accuses Rev. Lucy of the same thing. When if fact Rev. Lucy gave Robyn a correct reply based on Robyn's own priority. The reverend did her a favor and saved her a visit to a church she would obviously not approved of.
How sanctimonious can this woman be? To look for a church based on politics and yet condemn those who attend a church which puts politics above religion. It is double hypocrisy.
Robyn, you have an agenda and a hate for liberals and it is showing.
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Matthew 7:5
The Ferangi were in Star Trek not Star Wars.
*nerd alert*
lol, thanks for correcting me
You know, I used to think that was true. On the other hand, I know many otherwise intelligent people who have internalized the central dogmas of the left, and are merely unwilling, rather than unable, to think independantly. As I see it, they’ve replaced religion with “progressivism”, but since their new religion is a house of cards, they can’t allow it to be challenged. It’s a pro-active ignorance, not passive. They actually have to work at remaing benighted, and seem to understand at a very basic level that once a single precept is challenged, the entire rotten structure is going to crash down around their heads.
The point is that it was clear that THAT church was based on politics.
But then you knew that. You're just looking to start a fight, as intolerant as the left always is.
