I am asking for prayer for my marriage. My husband [name deleted by Mod for poster's own protection] has committed adultery. I know God hates divorce and this appears to be the direction he is taking. Lots of issues involved...I won't go into here..but he needs to come to repentance and to allow God to heal his heart...and mine too. The pain is almost too much to bear at this point. Our marriage needs divine healing and that is what I am asking you to pray for. God is not through with us as a couple yet...we have much work to do. Satan has tried to put a monkey wrench in the mix...but God is greater. Thanks for praying...
Concur... I’m reading through the posts and all of a sudden this pops up.
FYI you’re not harsh, “2” probably was and was pulled pretty quick.
Sir, you are in the religion section of the forum. This is what happens here all the time. Get off the prayer threads.
Prayers for you and your husband, in the name of Jesus.
This is what happens here all the time. Get off the prayer threads...................WOW, who put YOU in charge, WOW!!!
What’s with all you newbies dictating to others what is or isn’t proper to post here?
Why don’t you ask the Religion Moderator that question first before you spout off? I’m sure he/she will be more than happy to clue you in.
In His word, God tells us He hates divorce.
Seems we also have a lot of wounded metrosexuals.
Go back and read leenie’s older posts...Nov 3rd 2009. I think we’re all being conned.
Sorry for your loss, vetvetdoug.
Just go away.
Free advice?
Before you get a divorce, be CERTAIN that you have exhausted all other options.
We did. Sometimes divorce is worth the financial and emotional cost, sometimes not.
Ours was worth every penny! And because we both knew we had each done all we could to prevent it we don’t have regrets and are able to be civil-to-cordial whenever we need to meet. Mostly.
No, He doesn’t.
I actually know a couple who the recession saved their marriage. They couldn’t sell their house and couldn’t afford two rents so they remained living together until something could be worked out. At Thanksgiving they announced they have stopped divorce proceedings are going to counseling and while they are not out of the woods things are looking up.
Malachi 2:16
"I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty.
So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.
Prayers for you both.
You've been here three DAYS, noob. I suggest you learn a few things about this place before you run your mouth.
Good for them!
Also her Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands, which, of course, talks about both partners.
***Before you contemplate any drastic action like divorce you should do some research on why men cheat. It usually isnt because the male has fallen out of love. Males have a strong biological desire to pair bond with one female but also take available females. It is genetic.***
Umm... I agree, but why are you telling me? LOL! I’m not the one with a cheating husband.
