Pray for our American Heroes
July 25, 2009 | Irish Rose

For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and joy in his dwelling place.
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
(1 Chronicles 16:26-28)

Father in Heaven, we come before You, the only God and Savior, to present our petitions and praise. Hear us, Lord, as we pray to You.

Father, we pray for the troops who protect our nation. The battle is Yours, Lord, and we ask that You would protect our troops in it, and grant them victory. We pray for those who don't know You, that Your Spirit would give them an understanding of sin, and holiness, and grace. We pray for those who do know You – that they would draw closer to You in their hardships, that their faith may be preserved and strengthened.

Lord, we intercede today for the unborn. We ask that You would act on their behalf, to protect them from harm. Lord, there are many who deny the preciousness of their lives, and we pray that You would change their hearts toward the unborn. As for those who already value the lives of unborn children, we ask that You would give them wisdom, boldness, and success in defending them.

Father, we pray for Your persecuted church, for their comfort and deliverance. And we pray for our nation, that the issue of health care would be dealt with wisely.

Lord, all the gods the world worships are idols. You, who made the heavens and the earth – You are God. Strength and joy are Yours, and we seek them in vain from anything else. Lord, we thank You for Your love, and we praise Your greatness. Splendor and majesty are always before You, Lord; may all the nations praise You, in the holy Name of Jesus, Amen.

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!

Dear God, who suffered
torment, agony and death upon the Cross
to free our souls from the chains of iniquity;
protect and defend our troops. Guide them in the
performance of their duties. Strengthen them to endure
hardship, danger and deprivation in Your service.
Let their efforts free the people of Iraq from the
chains of terror and slavery, foster a lasting peace in the region,
and bring all to a greater share in Your mercy. Amen.

My Brothers and Sisters are in my Prayers every day. I’m and USAF Airman. Irish Rose if you know of any of my Sisters that are overseas please send their names and adresses to me. I work in the USO depot near the Akron Canton Airport in Ohio. We don’t have near the names of my sisters as we do for my Brothers.

AMEN SISTER AND GRACE TO ALL CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS!

“The love of Christ which passeth knowledge.”
- Ephesians 3:19

The love of Christ in its sweetness, its fulness, its greatness, its
faithfulness, passeth all human comprehension. Where shall language be
found which shall describe his matchless, his unparalleled love towards
the children of men? It is so vast and boundless that, as the swallow but
skimmeth the water, and diveth not into its depths, so all descriptive
words but touch the surface, while depths immeasurable lie beneath. Well
might the poet say,

“O love, thou fathomless abyss!”

for this love of Christ is indeed measureless and fathomless; none can
attain unto it. Before we can have any right idea of the love of Jesus, we
must understand his previous glory in its height of majesty, and his
incarnation upon the earth in all its depths of shame. But who can tell us
the majesty of Christ? When he was enthroned in the highest heavens he was
very God of very God; by him were the heavens made, and all the hosts
thereof. His own almighty arm upheld the spheres; the praises of cherubim
and seraphim perpetually surrounded him; the full chorus of the
hallelujahs of the universe unceasingly flowed to the foot of his throne:
he reigned supreme above all his creatures, God over all, blessed for
ever. Who can tell his height of glory then? And who, on the other hand,
can tell how low he descended? To be a man was something, to be a man of
sorrows was far more; to bleed, and die, and suffer, these were much for
him who was the Son of God; but to suffer such unparalleled agony-to
endure a death of shame and desertion by his Father, this is a depth of
condescending love which the most inspired mind must utterly fail to
fathom.
Herein is love! and truly it is love that “passeth knowledge.
“ O let this love fill our hearts with adoring gratitude, and lead us to
practical manifestations of its power.

Praise the Name of Jesus! Thank you for such a tender and beautiful prayer and picture. I agree with every precious word of your prayer in the Glorious Name of Jesus Christ, our LORD and Savior! Amen.

" Behold, children are a gift from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth.

Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;

~Psalm 127:3-5~
