WM: I understand your view of islam as a creation of man's sin nature with no outside influence.

R:I didn't say that. But, Satan cannot make it start nor make it stick around. It's the sinfulness of those dedicated to the false religion that started it and keep it going.

How does a bound Satan influence it, or cause mohamed to fall into a trance and recite "satanic" verses?

INDEED.

Maybe they think that satan’s bound but all his imps aren’t?

LOL.

ROTFLOL

except that such notions are so hellishly destructive and pathetic.

Us optimistic amils believe Christianity will constantly grow (as evidenced by actual numbers between 2000 years ago and today).

I follow your ebb and flow point and I agree that there really is no way to identify the actual number of Christians because only God knows. However, I think your optimism is really misplaced because of your belief that Satan is bound. I've never seen any Scripture that would lead me to believe Satan was bound at the cross or at Pentecost.

In Amillenialism has all prophecy been fulfilled? If not what's left.

Also, Amillenial theology seems to empower any church that claims to be Christ's sole representative on Earth. If the millenial kingdom has begun and Christ is reigning from heaven with his "special" representatives on Earth carrying out His will why give us the New Testament. Scripture stands in the way.

Babylon can be taken to be many things.

Maybe Babylon is not symbolic, but actually Babylon. I doubt it is New York, London, or Hong Kong. We are on the outskirts, the center of everything is Jerusalem so it would make sense that the rise of evil is not to far away.

The Acts 15 Council of Jerusalem account is interesting to me. I get the sense that Jewish Christians and Gentile Christians have Christian unity but, Jewish Christians do still observe the feasts, Sabbaths and traditions, whereas Gentile Christians have liberty in these areas. We do have unity in love however. I may be in error on this, or have a limited understanding.

Maybe more or less All of the above may be true—though I think not London nor HK.

I should work on transcribing that broadcast. The fellow . . Heron? really was top flight.

It's interesting that you mentioned the feasts. The feasts of the Lord are not the feasts of the Jews.

Leviticus 23:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them; 'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.'"

Leviticus 23:4 "These are the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times." (emphasis mine)

The feasts are statutes given by God to His people (not just the Jews, but ALL His people.) They are appointments mandated by God, and are events that have been (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Shavuot (Pentecost)) and will be (Trumpets, Yom Kippur, Tabernacles) fulfilled literally and on the specified day.

Zachariah 14 makes it plainly clear that all nations will be required to keep the Feast of Tabernacles during the reign of Christ on the Earth.

Zechariah 14:16-19
16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

18 If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Yes we do have liberty and freedom in Christ. However, when someone we love tells us specifically something that will make them happy and blessed, then it is our pleasure to do as they ask. The LORD desires (yes even commands) that we honor His feasts and it is our pleasure, in the freedom purchased for us by the blood of the Lamb, to honor His request out of love and obedience.

Romans 1:5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,

The grace we receive is for obedience to the faith. It should be the desire for all believers to be obedient to our Lord and Savior, and the only way that is possible is by His unmitigated grace, freely given - a gift of unimaginable worth.

Now the tricky questions. Should Jews be circumcised? Should Gentiles be circumcised?

I have no real opinion on the physical circumcision. But the circumcision of the heart is an absolute necessity for both Jew and Gentile.

Deuteronomy 10:16 Therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be stiff-necked no longer.

Romans 2:28-29 28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

Deuteronomy 30:6 And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

This circumcision of the heart is one that only God can make.

I am a Gentile, that is a Messianic Believer, 100% sold out for my Lord Jesus Christ (Yahshua HaMashiach). The LORD has saved me from the grips of death and hell (and I mean that with personal experience) and it is only by His grace and love that I am breathing today. It is my whole desire that His truth prevail in my mind and heart, no matter how much it challenges my flesh or traditions. His consuming fire is a delight to my soul.

Btw, thank you for the question. I am blessed to know that a division between Jew and Gentile is not seen in the things I say, and prayerfully, in the things I do. Praise to the Lord on High!

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, oh LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
