What? Are you able to point to the research? (not lds writings)

Just a curiosity, who is going to compare the Book of Mormon to the Dead Sea Scrolls, if not the LDS faith? The Dead Sea Scrolls were suppressed by various church affiliated groups for over 20 years, primarily because there were some fundamental disagreements with what the scrolls said.

For some reason, the LDS faith has found that points of scriptures that were condemned by 'modern churches' were in fact, supported by the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The reason I ask the question that way, is because I have seen dozens of shows on archeology that have said this find supports (usually phrased, “this find supports the Biblical account”) the Bible / Torah. If in fact they found support for the bm it wouldn’t be noted?

The Dead Sea Scrolls were suppressed by various church affiliated groups for over 20 years, primarily because there were some fundamental disagreements with what the scrolls said.

Be specific. Everything except cave 4 was published very rapidly. Cave 4 was kept secret by one group of Catholic scholars. It is now public. There are no "fundamental disagreements" with any of it.

OTOH, the DSS includes a virtually perfect copy of Isaiah, which is nearly identical to the modern Hebrew text.

Isaiah (around chapter 44) says 4 or 5 times in different ways that there is only one God. Not as many gods as there grains of sand on the seashore, not a "god of this world," but one god. Period.

That's in "fundamental disagreement" with LDS doctrine.

It also shows the falsehood of the LDS claim that "translation errors" were introduced into the Bible by "priestcraft".

For some reason, the LDS faith has found ....

No; they CLAIM such-and-such.

Joseph Smith LEARNED that PREASBYTERIANism was UNTRUE - but produced NO data to back up his claim.

Modern LDS 'scholars' can likewise produce none.
