Actually, God DOES have a plan of salvation that is “applicable to all mankind, including those who do not hear of Christ in this life, children who die before the age of accountability and those who have no understanding.” That isn’t LDS, that is the Bible.
I know this goes over many heads so this is all I will say on the subject read the scriptures in prayer.

The Lord did not make a part of mankind to be saved and a part to be damned to all eternity, just like a parent does not raise one child to be a success and another to be a petty criminal.
The Lord desires that all of mankind come to salvation, he made all of mankind to worship him and live for eternity with him. But mankind is willful and self destructive, and they chose sin and continue to choose sin. God is all powerful, and that means he is powerful enough to provide a path to salvation for all of mankind while allowing us the Free Will to make the choice on our own.
The Lord did not make a single man to spend eternity in the lake of fire. That place was created for Lucifer and his followers. But there will be men who spend eternity there, as God will not force his will upon us.
