Based on Scripture? The Second Coming statement causing confusion and deception in the household of God is, No one knows about that day or hour.
Jesus made this statement about the exact time of His return during the Olivet Discourse. This expression has been incorrectly interpreted by many, thinking that it means we will be unable to determine the general time of the Second Coming.
The statement is clear and precise. It says, No one knows about that day or hour. It does not say, no one knows the general time of the Coming (THE YEAR). As a matter of fact Scripture does indicate that we will be aware of His Coming and we will not be surprised, as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25). Paul also said, But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief (1 Thessalonians 5:4).
Repeatedly, Jesus told of the increasing deception that will come in the last days. He commanded us to watch and stay alert so we would not be deceived by the world and get caught off guard. This is what He said during the Olivet Discourse.
Noah with the unbelievers the people, they and them. Noah knew when that day was coming, God actually told him when to get in the ark. However, the world was caught completely by surprise even though Noah preached to them, 2 Peter 2:5.
Here is what He said,
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' (Mark 13:32-37)
I understand it says (TIME and HOUR)
I am asking is TIME meaning the literal time? 2:00 9:a.m etc
OR time as in the future..2009 2015 etc..
Jesus us gave us sings about the End Times....
True. We do know that certain things will pass but from the last thing to the return only God knows when.
America wasn’t all powerful in the 1600s...

Within four days that is.

Having said that, one of those signs are mockers and scoffers who will tell you that all things are the same, nothing has changed, the sun comes up and it sets...just as everyday before it....blah, blah, blah...
I recommend the following:
Consecrate yourselves.
Get your households in order.
Purify yourselves and the Church casting out apostates, wolves in sheep clothing, and those living in unrepentant sin in your midst.
Wake up Bride of Christ cease living as though tomorrow is just the same as yesterday.
Tell everyone of the coming wrath. If they will not listen, shake the dust off your sandals and move on quickly. Leave the calling out to the LORD.
Do not fear; be of great courage and boldness.
Pray for there to be ears to hear and eyes to see
.the Truth. Thy Word is Truth.
Prepare the way of the LORD.
Praise the Worthy Lamb, for His Kingdom is near.
Definitely...just not until after it happens.
Surely. Hebrew Custom is that the Earth will last 6000 years. So you just google Jewish Calendar and subtract the current Jewish year from 6000 and you’ll get approximately the answer you’re looking for. Since neither you nor I will be around by then, our “end of the world” will have already occurred and it won’t matter. (6000-5768=232 more years) (give or take)
I believe Adam is 6000 yrs old...
if any nostradamus is true, it’s from some kind of evil power IMHO. I’ve looked into it, and yes some things might be said to be true.
But it seems to me that ALWAYS with his stuff, you only know AFTER the event, and it’s never of any use to anyone before, so it’s useless and frustrating.
Compare that with the prophecies of the Bible, which are good, and are known before they happen, then they happen. The Bible also has what I call “eternal prophesies” like “egypt will never again be a great nation” (ez 29:15), written 3000 years ago. If egypt ever again was a great nation, every scoffer could point at the Bible and say it was wrong. But that will never happen. This is a great argument against what most anti-Bible people say, because if it was written by a charlatan, pretending, why would they stick their neck on the line? Why not just keep everything nice and general. And there are many “eternal prophecies” in the Bible.
Stick to the Bible & stay away from nostradamus IMO.

Don’t worry, I don’t believe in Nostradamus. I am a christian, I was being funny.
You just don’t have the right biblical prophecy decryption algorithm, but I am willing to sell you mine now that I’ve decrypted the entire bible, Webster’s new abridged dictionary, and 2006 NFL rule book.
Noah did not know the day or the hour either. He only was doing what He was told to do, for about 120 years. He knew it was very close when God began rounding up the animals to go up into the ark. Then when Noah was told to get himself and his sons and their wives into the ark, they knew. When the rain came, something which had not occurred (at least it was not ever mentioned before this) before, well, the rest is history.
Noah could see signs it was getting closer. But I wouldn’t say he knew when it was going to happen. I am sure he may even have known it might have some correlation with the death of Methuselah, as his name means “he sends his death”, or “with his death brings”, or “his death will bring”. But Noah would not have any knoweldge about when Methusaleh was supposed to die either, only that he would not live past 1000 years, and he died at age 969, so there was still a period of uncertainty about exactly when the flood would occur.
I can tell you this with confidence. first, the last 2000 years we have been in the last days. Second, with the rebirth of israel as a nation we are in the end times. Third, we see more and more nations of the world aligning against Israel and what a stumbling block this one little country is for all of the world. Fourth, we see consolidation and globalism and everyone wanting peace and security at the expense of freedom, looking to government to save them. we are very close to Christ’s return. 2000 years closer, every day closer.
We may be spared from the final great tribulation, we may not and may have to go through it. But we will be going through it with our eyes open and seeing things for what they are, we will not get swept up and believe the lies.
We won’t know the day or hour, however there are indications that we will know the season. If not, why would we be instructed to watch? But at any rate, of course, we should always be ready. And we should be doing our best to get others ready.
