Genesis 25:27-34

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

Living God, today we raise our voice of grateful praise. Each day, each night, each hour is a precious gift from you. You have given us joy with the love of our family and friends, whether they be on this earth or above. You have given us the church so we can fellowship as one. Lifting up our hands in praise and adoration to the Great I Am. You have given us the very best gift of all, the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. How does one say thank you eloquently and proper? What we can do is give you all of us, completely and wholly.

Lord we ask for your grace for our President this day. Grant him wisdom and courage as he faces whatever comes before him. That he might not fail thee. Help him to make his choices to glorify you and not man.

Father be with our troops, set their feet on a solid foundation. Grant their dreams and may they see them come true. We love you precious Lord, and what an honor is to be called a child of the Living God. In your Son’s name we ask and pray, Amen, An evening call to prayer

Our President, Our people and our nation needs our prayers! And we pray:
“Dear Lord we pray that our nation may truly be one nation under God!” Let us truly claim, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD:....” (Psalm 33:6a)

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle
 Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we  humbly pray,
 and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
 by the power of God,
 Thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
