Some Mormon women dance...
Some Mormon women write scary stories...
Some Mormon women have a lot of money and really great hair...
I know hundreds of Mormon women. They do all kinds of different things and live all different kinds of lives.
This woman served as a leader in the Mormon church. She recently spoke to teenage girls worldwide. She encouraged them to stand up to peer pressure, strengthen their families and serve others. (Click here for more.)
None of the Mormon women I know look like this...
None of them are marrying off their teenage daughters and-- although some may joke about wanting a sister-wife (preferably one who is really fat & ugly, does bathrooms and changes diapers)--none of them really want to share their husband with anyone.
Some Mormon guys yell at the ball...
Some Mormon guys make scary movies...
Some Mormon guys have a lot of money and really great hair...
I know hundreds of Mormon guys. They do all kinds of different things and live all kinds of different lives.
This is one of the leaders of the Mormon church. Last Sunday he spoke about honoring women, especially mothers, and gave advice to husbands and children about how to treat the women in their lives. (For the whole story, click here.)
None of the Mormon men I know look like this...
The Mormon men I know are honest and hard-working. They don't cheat, smoke, drink or gamble. And TRUST ME....the last thing any of them want is another wife.
Dont confuse our disgust with the Mormon doctrine with how we feel towards the Mormons.
The unkind tone of this thread is not going to persuade any Mormons to doubt their beliefs. Just the opposite.
When the day comes, God will judge everyone. As for me, I'll be flat on my face hoping for mercy.
I have (mercy) salvation now. Through Christ alone, not my own works.
Keep reading the next few verses. If all God needed to save us is love He wouldn’t have come down here in human flesh and taken on the sin of those who believe on Him.
His wrath needed to be turned away.
You are incorrect stinker. God uses each of us with our own strenghts and weaknesses for HIS good. He knows who are counted among His children, and He sets the chain of motion that will bring those children to Him.
On this very thread we see a man who was in the Bishopric of his Mormon ward. He explained how the posters here at FR challenged him to read the truths about Mormonism.
He is currently writing his exit letter from the LDS Church. God moves in impressive ways in spite of our human failings. I believe most of us here love Mormons. Heck I'm married to one. It is mormonism we challenge.
I'm sure that posting pictures of Ted Bundy with the caption, "Ted Bundy, serial killer, Mormon", softens the heart of every Mormon who sees it.
No doubt they see that and say to themselves, "Gee, these people really care about me. Maybe they have a point."
Whether or not you ‘doubt it,’ is irrelevant.
Let me tell you, I was a believing, Temple worthy Mormon for years. It is often the very things that make us uncomfortable that finally awaken us from our sleep.....it is the tickle at our nose, the slight shaking and the loud noise that finally get our attention and awaken us from the stupor.
Truth is annoyingly persistent.
Implying that Mormonism produced Ted Bundy is not truth. As you apparently know, asking someone to leave everything they know, including their own families that they love, is a tall order.
What are you offering them in return? The "aroma of Christ" as Paul wrote, or anger and insult? If Jesus returned today and walked into Salt Lake City, do you honestly think he would carry a banner with a picture of Ted Bundy?
He would be blunt, yes, but he would also offer love. The kind of love and humility that would allow him to get down on his knees and wash the feet of Judas on the night of his betrayal.
The kind of love that would make people say, "Wow, I would do anything to be a part of that."
Truth is more than facts. You can be right on the facts and still be wrong.
Perhaps you should examine your own words.
Well, that is definitely true.
So now you admit you are in favor of cold blooded murder?
Got any MORE molehills you want to make mountains out of; old Man?
Could you point them out?
I want to berate them PERSONALLY!!
For which they are BOTH thankful!
Are you STILL trying the same old tagtic; Satan?
Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, `You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
OR like THIS!!!
So are THESE!!

17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the otherThis is My Beloved Son. Hear Him! 18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)and which I should join. 19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. 20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, Never mind, all is wellI am well enough off. I then said to my mother, I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true. |
Huh?
Now that you mention it....
What FORCE was used?
WHY was EMMA allowed to stay behind?
WHY wasn't SHE and the OTHER LDS who remained behind killed?
HOW was it possible for the RLDS to KEEP possession of all the church properties if the ENRAGED MOBS OF MISSOURI were out for their BLOOD?
Not according to the BIBLE.
Romans 7
1. Do you not know, brothers--for I am speaking to men who know the law--that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives?
2. For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage.
