I asked if he stayed for the whole thing and he said he left when they lit the joint. College was a culture shock for him. College kids smoking a joint is "shocking", but having your fifteen year old sister married off to a fifty year old man with three other "wives" is normal.

Smoking a joint in Bible Study was rather a shock for all of us.

It is the extra opinions and nuances, surmises that is the bias and speculation! .
.
.
because one don't like something one thinks they can trash it all they want with out regards if it really accurate.
I sure do NOT want to SPECULATE!!
Just WHAT was UNTRUE about PRESBYTERIANISM that Joseph Smith claimed to have 'learned'???

That one is so easy that even I can translate it. It says:

It’s rather ironic isn’t it? As a Catholic, I would have no problem telling you where we disagree with the Presbyterians, so could Lutherans, Baptists or Anglicans. There are literally thousands of threads on FR where you can read EVERY theological difference that exists among Christians. So, why can’t the Mormons tell us what is “untrue” about Presbyterianism? After all, itt’s in their literature.

Maybe I’m being insensitive, but “Telestial incline” and the other Mormon “stratospheres” all sound like the names of ski slopes to me.

It is the first time ever (outside the Book of Mormon) where the name of Alma shows up as a mans name. In the scroll, Alma son of Judah is mentioned. Where there any CURELOMs mentioned?

Don’t forget old James Dee Harmston, my high school mate who formed TLC in Manti. Wife Elaine was also in my class. Can’t believe she fell for it. He was always a horn dog. Remember when you want to whore around on your wife, just start a church and call it revelation.
