I’m not surprised, unfortunately Joel Osteen is ignorant and a false teacher to boot. This is straight apostasy. He can offer no explanation for why Mormonism falls outside of orthodox Christianity.
It is easy to bash and criticize these preachers, especially since they are on 24/7. Certainly, there is going to be plenty of disagreements about doctrine, there always is even among people at the same church. But they are spreading the Word around the globe and reaching hundreds of millions of people. Christians should not attack one another unless what they are doing is clearly contrary to God’s word. Blessing Mormonism may or may not be in that camp. Is the Mormon’s belief in Jesus enough to give them salvation or does some of their kooky beliefs disqualify them? Only God knows for certain.
Charlatan ping.
Did they sneeze?
I pray for Mormons every single day. Does that mean I bless them? I think it does.
I pray that they might find the saving Grace of God, through Jesus Christ and forsake their covenants, oaths and law-keeping.
Hey, Joel, if you are going to just throw in the towel to universalism like so many of the emergents, just stand up and say it.
Please do not suggest, Joel, that just because Jesus is mentioned highly in a different faiths’ holy books that they are Christian, or you will end up selling your book to the Muslims too...making millions more...oh.
THAT is the reason! He’s making his best life now... selling out the Gospel for millions of dollars in this life. /sarc
***Mormons are genuine Christians as I originally pointed out in Joel Osteen: Mitt Romney And Mormons Are Christians.***
Can we then consider Elizabeth Clare Prophet and her followers to be “Christians” since they include Jesus in their pantheon of “Ascended Masters”?
I'm guessing they sent him lots of money?
He likes that money.
TO ALL WHO WANT TO HELP US TO BELIEVE WHAT YOU BELIEVE ABOUT CHRIST AND HOW HE GUIDES HIS PEOPLE ON EARTH.
If this thread is like most others that have anything to do with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or as we are more often called, the Mormons, it will soon be taken over by those who, for reasons of their own, choose to put down my Church, and those of us who worship with it.
We find no problem with people who really want to talk to us about converting to their religion, we spend a lot of time doing it ourselves.
What we find offensive is when people leave out part of the truth to make a half-true lie , or when some one renames something, that we find important or sacred, so it sounds like gutter talk.
I do not know how to tell the difference all the time. There are some Handles that keep showing up, and they are easy to spot. Sometimes, though, I have given a hard and not so kind response to some who honestly care for us and our salvation.
Please forgive us if we get you mixed up.
Thanks for your time,
fred
This stinks to High Heaven. Mitt Romney says Jesus Christ is his Savior and the Savior of all mankind. That’s good enough for Joel Osteen.
This is very dangerous - your hatred for Mormons is way out of balance. Don’t you see that? Joel Osteen is a fine young preacher. I have watched him many times. His books are uplifting.
I am absolutely shocked at the level of hatred toward Mormons on this site. You even hate anyone who has one good thing to say about Mormons. Get a grip.
Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and I love Him with all my heart. Heavenly Father sent His only begotten Son to die for me to save me from my sins. The Holy Ghost is my witness. I am a Mormon. Deal with it.
“We are Christians to our core” “We love the Bible”

BTTT
Osteen is a silly ass.
INTREP
Cotton-Candy Christianity!! AMEN!!!!! ALL FLUFF!!
Osteen makes my skin crawl.
That’s it . . worldly Christianity (if there is such a thing really) is just that . . a business, headed up generally by a petted “pastor” or petted power couple whom the congregation leaders lavish with a large percentage of the total church income because, after all, he’s “ordained” and has an inside track with the Lord that no one else has. So, the cream is skimmed off the top for the power couple, and by the time the electric bill and music supplies and the rest of the operations bills are paid, the Lord gets a pittance that may go to the poor or to Christian missions. I think it is using Christ as a means to build a personal kingdom in many cases. (Oh, I know, I know, YOUR pastor is different . . and the Lord bless him if he is, but a lot of them aren’t . .)
This is very impressive. All I need to know now is who is Benny Hinn and the Crouch’s backing......
No one has ever accused Osteen of being much of a theologian.
