My wife fell on the sidewalk coming back from our extended family Christmas celebration. She has cut her hand pretty badly. My daughter is taking her to the emergency room now and I am trying to hold myself together and do something useful.
Please pray for her complete healing. She is visually impaired, and the crafts are her world and her ability to give back to others. She has make exquisite sweaters and scarfs for others. If she loses the ability to craft, she will lose so much of her joy in life.

" Sounds like you need to calm down. Relax, she will be alright. "
and drink some Eggnog ...
She might need to put her hand in a bathroom bowl of warm to( moderate ) hot water after the swelling goes down, it will help the muscles in her hand relax and not tense up.

Need to get her back into doing her craft as soon as the swelling goes down, by keeping it immobile for a long time will make it just longer and harder to get back in her craft.
If the doctor allows, after the swelling goes down, have her put her hand in some warm-to moderately hot water to help the muscles relax and keep them from tensing up.
Or ? do you have a hot water bottle or heat packs ? they will help.

Father, please put you healing hand on GAB-1955's wife and use your Spirit to comfort her and those who love her. Help her to recover completely so she can use the wonderful gifts you have given her to glorify you and witness to your everlasting love. All these things I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
Despite everything, have a Merry Christmas.

Prayers up for quick healing for her hand. It sounds like she will be OK. Cuts usually heal pretty well and she will regain her function. Keep her busy until it heals.

Good morning, and Merry Christmas.
She got back from the emergency center at 1:30 a.m. Her hand has some muscle damage, but it will heal completely, thanks be to God. The bandage can’t get wet, but she seems to be in remarkably good spirits. I’m still a wreck.
By the way, she thanked me for the vacuumed floor.
