did it say anything about orthodox satanism?
Actually, I believe some Baptists would argue their beliefs go back to John the Baptist, preceding and incorporating our Lord’s ministry. Thus, if correct, the Baptists would be the oldest faith.
Advice for the article’s author:
1 Timoth 1: 3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer 4 nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God’s workwhich is by faith.
Tex, do Orthodox consider the Catholic Church to be Apostolic? Do the Orthodox and Catholic Churches agree on what contitutes an Apostolic nature in regards to other Christians — in other words, do either recognize any Church as Apostolic that the other rejects as Apostolic?

They have no documented anything to make such a claim. It's a fairytale. The Baptists have their imaginary roots in Marcion, a heretic.
But in reality they are a man made creation as the article says of a much later date.
I wish it were the other way around, but the truth hurts HD.
With all due deference to the Rev. Dr. Miltiades Efthimiou, the Catholic Church broke away from no one 1054. The excommunication was directed at the person of the Patriarch Michael Cerularius of Constantinople, not the entire Eastern church. The schism was an unfortunate division of the one Church and both Catholic and Orthodox can claim their foundation in A.D. 33 by our Lord.
From what I observe all denominations (including Catholic)
claim to have “Orthodox” faith. After all, the word does mean “right belief.” Your claim that your church has been their from the beginning can be disputed. But thanx for your opinion. Everyone has one.
The (Latin) Catholic Church and particular Churches in communion with her is a fully Apostolic Church. We Orthodox are not in communion with Rome because of unresolved theological and ecclasial differences, but there is only One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We can safely say that our non-communion is 1,000 years old, but not the Catholic Church.
Pssst.. the Anglican Church dates to the Martyrdom of St Alban in AD 303.

Yes very interesting.
Right on the money, dear Petrosius! Our non-communication is 1,000 years old or thereabouts, but let us not forget that the eastern Churches and the Catholic Church relegated "to oblivion" the excommunications of 1054 in 1964, which is 910 years later. If we had worked out out theological points of disagreement, we could intercommune; but, since that has not happened, we can't (yet).
The best way to describe it is that we are one Church in internal disagreement .
We are both one Church drawing the same apostolic authority and have the same valid clergy. The EP and MP are dedicated to closer cooperation and reunion with the Church of Elder Rome. Surely, they would not be doing that if they thought the the Western Church were led by someone other than a legitimate bishop, and +Peter's successor at that.
They COULD argue that, but they would not be able to back it up historically.
I would argue that the author isn’t teaching a “false” doctrine.
Good! :)

1. Yes, as the RC Church was part of the “one” Church until 1054 AD, it is Apostolic.
2. I don’t think so, unless possibly the Anglican Church.
In light of the ongoing dialog between East & West, I will decline to debate the matter for the present time.
I think you are wrong. We have HISTORICAL evidence to the contrary.
Correct, Brother. :) I agree.
