The first thing a Catholic learns when they open their Bible is they cannot buy their way out of hell fire.

When a Catholic looks in the Bible they will not find purgatory. They will not find priests taking money to say a Mass to get souls out of the fires of hell. The Catholic church is popular because many do not want much out of religion and the Catholic church offers them the little they want.

Can't read any further ... laughing hysterically. This is almost as absurd as the Discovery show last night about Jesus' family tomb.

Did you watch that thing? Was it like Al Capone's safe? What happened?

(I had to wash the dog and missed it.)

Glad you can laugh. I got quite irritated. It was so full of lies and had a "Protestant caucus" tag on it!
LOL!

**When a Catholic looks in the Bible they will not find purgatory.**

Oh, yes, purgatory references are in the Bible! I will post them later. This write needs our prayers, doesn't he?

Hi al, how are you?

When I saw the posting yesterday I was convinced it would die a rapid death. It is amateurish, full of distortions, falsehoods, and half-truths. Not worthy of serious discussion. (This coming from, as you know, a very solid ex.) :-)

I am surprised it is still going today.
