It is not poor theology...it is orthodox theology, held widely in evangelical circles. I will site only one Bible teacher, John MacArthur, who is a firm believer in "No Death Before Adam".
Scripture clearly teaches that death is wrong, that is not a part of God's perfect creation, and it is an enemy to be overcome (and that it will be!) This has always been the teaching of the Christian church. Rossite teachings that death is fine and dandy with God are a horrid example of how unbiblical premises mar Christian doctrine.
Romans 5:12-14 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned - for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
It is sad and ironic that the Rossite cultists keep telling themselves that their teachings are somehow the historical norm, when a little historical research will show them that is anything but the case.
