Prayers for my Brother-in -Law

Hi all Freepers,

I would like to ask for prayers for my Brother-in-Law, Paul who had three heart attacks overnight. He has been waiting for a triple by-pass for a couple of weeks after having a heart attack a couple if weeks ago. He is a lovely man with a great love for his family and he is in his low fifties. I greatly appreciate you holding him up to Our Father in Jesus Holy Name.

Help us, O God, to be consistent before the Throne of Grace on their behalf, for the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Touch both with Your healing hand, Merciful Father, that they would be restored to the fullness of health ... strengthen and sustain Paul unto the time of his surgery. Grant the greatest wisdom and skill to his surgeons, that his heart needs would be met above and beyond expectation. Draw Mel's father out from the cloud of despair that overshadows him ... replace fear and anxiety with confidence, for You are the Great Physician. Direct his medical providers to meet his every need ... give patience and understanding to his family as they walk with him during this difficult time. Thank You, Lord, that nothing escapes Your notice, and that You delight to bless Your children. In the Name of Jesus, we praise You, Amen ...

this day we commend to you in a special way,
our brother Paul
as he lays near that transition zone
between life and death,
with a frail heart
in need of your strong hand.
Be with the doctors who are caring for him
in a special way,
and guard their decisions,
guide their hands,
and direct their footsteps.
Be with each of his family,
with everyone who loves him
who worries for him
who cares,
and give them the peace
that can only come from you.
O Lord,
we do not know what you have planned for Paul,
but we know it is in your hands,
that the very hairs of our heads are numbered,
and that you are with us, each and every step of the way.
Lord, we do ask that you heal him
if it is your will,
and bring us home with you at last.
