[Frequent readers of the Traditional Anglican ping list will no doubt recognize Diane as a force in ECUSA. There was no article, but I will copy the comments. --sionnsar]
We have lost a great leader. I am deeply saddened.
Diane spoke at a Sanctuary event last year in the Diocese of Upper South Carolina, and she was a vision of optimism, humor, faithfulness, courage, and breathtaking knowledge and articulation of international and national Christian events and contexts.
I would like to point out that she was able, unexpectedly, to attend the art exhibit with her husband and the Anglican meeting in Newry due to the information by her doctors that her cancer had returned and that she could not continue the same treatment plan that had been scheduled for that week. So she took the week that would have been spent in treatment and spent it with her husband, and with her fellow Anglican allies. I was impressed at the time that, even when she had received devastating news, her courage and faithfulness regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ within the Anglican Communion continued.
I am so grieved that I will not have the privilege of seeing her again on this earth.
May we conduct ourselves in an honorable and courageous manner in the months ahead, as she would have wished, and as Jesus wishes. s

I can find little to say at the moment, other than to express that Diane was a great leader in the Renewal movement, to which she gave her entire life. She was my mentor in renewal in the Episcopal Church, and a good friend. She will indeed be greatly missed.

Numerous persons who visit this blog attacked Mrs. Knippers personally and questioned her credibility regarding the circumstances of her visit to Newry as referenced above by Sarah.
As I recall the controversy exceeded 100 posts. Now, the full truth is revealed only by Mrs. Knippers death; she knew that her end was near, but wanted to spend some of her last time in the earthly life in service to the cause she held dear.
Here then, is an opportunity to apologize, pray for Mrs. Knippers
soul, and express condolence to her family.

Bummer..
Do you think Presiding Heretic Griswold will now apologize to her family for calling her an agent of the devil?
Amen.

I am deeply grieved to learn of this.
May God rest Diane's soul in peace.
May He comfort Ed and all those who love and cherish her.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.

I'm crying so hard, I can only copy and paste Sharon's comments.
Now there are three from Truro that I shall forever miss here on earth but look forward to seeing again in the Lord's presence: My Mom, Arlin and Diane.

In terms of atonement, Griswold and others (like CT's Smith) have some really big fish to fry.
May God always comfort and carry you and yours, Sharon
Thank you for posting this. Diane and Ed are personal friends.
Corin, thanks for the ping.
I knew of her not in an Anglican/Episcopal context, but as the president of the Institute on Religion and Democracy. Thus she was fighting for all of us orthodox/traditionalist Christians across several denominations, even us battered and beleagured Lutherans.
Memory Eternal!
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your faithful servant, Diane. She has been a blessing to many & will be sorely missed. Amen.
Thanks for posting this. Prayers for the family.
