Hey this is my first time to write something like this but I feel its necciary. I am asking if y'all would pray for my family but mainly my cousin Matt, my parents are is legal gaurdians and were for most of my life. I am asking for your prayers because on Friday he graduates from the US Marine Corps bootcamp. They have already told him he has something like 3 months infratry training then its off to Iraq for 9-12 months. It is going to be hard for all of us because he is the first person to go to war in my family since the Korean War. He has a 2 year old daughter who is the cutest thing and a wonderful fiancé who is scared about what could happen. We are leaving tomorrow for San Diego. Well I just wanted to ask for y'alls prayers and thank y'all so very much.
Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Prayer Ping List.

Lord,
you raise young men to answer your call to defend their homeland. Your child Matt is one such person. Be with him during his time of service, and keep him safe in your loving hands.
But also, Lord, be with his family and all who love him. Ease their hearts and soothe their worries, and keep them safe until his return.
Lord, you are our life and our hope. Open our eyes that we may always realize that you are there waiting, never deserting us, even in the darkest moments.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
My nephew is a Marine who spent a year in Iraq, and just recently arrived home, safe and sound. We were all praying for him daily.
I will pray Claytay.My granddaughter Karen was there last year and she is home now.Please keep me updated if you can,God bless,fatima
Adding prayers!!!
I just emailed it to my sister.
You're very welcome.
I'll keep him and your family in my prayers.
Thanks for the reply.
I come before you today asking Your protection and encouragement for Matt as he embarks on his service in the Marines. Surround him with angels of protection, and let no weapon formed against him prosper.
I ask also that You bless his upcoming marriage, as he and his wife form a family. Guide them in the ways You would have them live.
Finally, Lord, comfort and strengthen Claytay and all of Matt's family, that they may see his service as one of honor for their family and the nation, and still those inner voices of fear which come not from You, but from the other one.
Thank you for men like this and the families which raise them. Bless Matt and all within his circle of service, and bring him home safely from Iraq.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.

My prayers are with your cousin, with you, and with your family.
For Matt
Thank you Matt! May God bless your family, Claytay. The Warrior's Psalm:
Blessed be the Lord, my rock,
who trains my hands for battle
my fingers for war;
My safeguard and my fortress,
my stronghold, my deliverer,
My shield, in whom I trust,
who subdues peoples under me.
Lord, what are mortals that you notice them;
human beings, that you take thought of them?
They are but a breath;
their days are like a passing shadow.
Lord, incline your heavens and come;
touch the moutains and make them smoke.
Flash forth lightning and scatter my foes;
shoot your arrows and rout them.
Reach out your hand from on high;
deliver me from the many waters;
rescue me from the hands of foreign foes.
Their mouths speak untruth;
their right hands are raised in lying oaths.
O God, a new song I will sing to you;
on a ten-stringed lyre I will play for you.
You give victory to kings;
you delivered David your servant.
From the menacing sword deliver me;
rescue me from the hands of foreign foes.
Their mouths speak untruth;
their right hands are raised in lying oaths.
May our sons be like plants
well nurtured from their youth,
Our daughters, like carved columns,
shapely as those of the temple.
May our barns be full
with every kind of store.
May our sheep increase by thousands,
by tens of thousands in our fields;
may our oxen be well fattened.
May there be no breach in the walls,
no exile, no outcry in our streets.
Happy the people so blessed;
happy the people whose God is the Lord.
-Psalm 144
