I think the best point was there might be millions of people who hate what they mistakenly believe the Catholic Church to be and to teach
Many Protestants are brainwashed in the same way asMuslims -- with the same false rumours potrayed as facts.

Thankks - That was great. As Cardinal Newman wrote something like - people don't give up anything when they become Catholics, they just add to it.

Nice post. Have you heard of Steve Wood? I was listening to a Gerry Matatics tape where he mentioned this friend. When Gerry decided to convert, Steve was outraged. Gerry and Steve debated by phone for four years which resulted in Steve's conversion to Catholicism. I am struck by the level of evangelism in converts like Gerry and Scott. Scott said on one of his tapes that leading Catholics away from Catholicism was like "shooting ducks in a barrel." I can imagine their sorrow and desire to undo the damage after conversion. I think they both effectively serve large segments of the Catholic population.
Steve's apostolate is a little different. I took a look at his website; very interesting, conservative and as Gerry says "not a traditionalist, yet." ;-)
