He made the claim (or said the angel/Personage told him) that NONE were good; not me.
Has the LDS organization EVER published a rebuttal of this claim?
We will not flinch from the claim that the religions of the world have fallen into apostasy which required that the true gospel of Jesus Christ be restored. The man-made creeds were wrong, the teachings distorted, the Priesthood lost. The good news is that God loves His children enough that he saw fit to restore His Church and His Priesthood. If you feel "put down", then that is your own fault. It is political compromises, like certain creeds designed to keep some from feeling "put down", that has so twisted the truth and lead your churches into apostasy.
JS actually attended, and wanted to be a Methodist at one point. He even says so. He thought Methodists were the closest to the truth so far as he could discern at the time.
Thats a far cry from calling all others wicked and evil.
He was wondering which church among all of them was correct. That was the question he was asking.
The answer came back that none had the true gospel.
True, that can be interpreted many ways.
You are just choosing to believe (falsely) that JS hated every other church.
