That was a bang-up double play to end the inning. One thing I notice on these DP's is that the second basemen often only straddles the bag instead of touching it. My wife and I always argue about whether it is legal or not. I say it is allowed so that the second basemen can avoid injury (by the runner sliding in) and my wife says that runner should be safe in those situations.
Some moron jumped into the Yankee bullpen. I hope that guy spends the weekend in jail and gets prosecuted to the fullest extent. Crap like that makes the Red Sox fans look bad.

In Chicago, if the police do it, it's known as "getting tuned up."

What the hell is the matter with that guy?

I went to bed at the end of the 9th last night and didn't sleep well. I woke up convinced the Cubs lost for some reason. I think I was dreaming they lost in the 13th or something like that.

I haven't had a drink all week, since my usual is a brewski. I figure I'm due a good drink, especially after this game.

You won't believe this but last night my wife and I walked to our local drinking establishment to watch the ballgame last night; even though it's on 95th Street, the owner and quite a few patrons are Cub fans so the environment is not too hostile like a lot of other places on da sout'side.
We left right after the Cubs batted and didn't score in the ninth and were home for the entire tenth inning.
Some time between the tenth and eleventh innings, we both dozed off (perhaps we had one Guinness too many) and woke up just as the Cubbies were celebrating their win.

A red Sox employee just had a physical altercation with a Yankee player. Beam me up.
Great catch Nicky!

Inability to handle alcohol, exacerbated by 85 years of futility.
Great play by Nick!
