I just saw Tony Snow on FoxNews, saying with an absolute straight face, that Arnold's success is as a result of McClintock. (Prior to that statement, he said that Arnold made the pledges, because McClintock was in the race)
So now we have McClintock to thank for Arnold winning!

Things that make you go "hmmmmmmmmm......."
Like I've been saying - there are a few very highly placed ideologues with mighty thick checkbooks pumping out cash in certain directions, all to manipulate 15% into controlling 85%. This time, the GOP mainstream in the state most affected by it rebelled.

I saw that too. I think Tony has hit the bubbly a couple hours too early tonight.

Tony Snow is out of his mind IMO! That's why Fox News is on mute and I have KFI radio on!
KFI reporting the RAT Talking point papers are out -- people taking it out on Davis and they will also take it out on Bush. They also said that if McC had dropped out the Arnold numbers would be even more of a landslide!

One can imagine some good things from McClintock's presence. It definitely was useful when Davis challenged Schwarz to a debate last week and Tom accepted. It took the teeth out of the accusation that would have followed had Schwarz been in there alone.
It also prevented Busty & Davis from ganging up on one guy.
There are some good things.

Thank McClintock...
for nearly losing this.. and dividing off his little sect of holy holier that thous?
no way.
tom will have to do penance, just to stay in the party.. and even that may not save him.
Obedience and loyalty to leadership, is THE primary medium of exchange in politics. It has ALWAYS been valued more than ideology. Always.
