[history]
The Los Angeles Times and the Democrat corruption machine must be defeated!! No ifs, ands, or buts about it!
This is bigger than Schwarzenegger vs McClintock, bigger than Republican vs Democrat, and even bigger than conservative vs liberal. This is for our American way of life vs the dark side. Not just for California, but for all of America. The leadership of the Democrat Party and their official party platform of corruption, abortion, homosexualism, socialism, slavery to big government, slavery to over-taxation, slavery to terrorism and willing subjugation to foreign powers and world bodies is pure evil. Yes, I'd rather have a more conservative person than Arnold for California, but sorry folks, looks like the numbers aren't there. And I'm unwilling to take chances on allowing Davis to slip out of the recall or, even worse, to allow Bustamante to win the governorship.
Crushing liberalism is what Free Republic is all about. Gray Davis being recalled by the (mostly Democrat) people of California has got to be one of the greatest defeats for liberalism in recent history. And the additional rejection by the same democrat electorate of the ultra-liberal, illegal-alien-loving, tax-them-till-they-die, Cruz Bustamante will be the coup de grâce!
The Democrats are pulling out all the stops on this one. They see losing California as what it is, a death blow for liberalism. The people of California are sending the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Democrat Party, and Bill & Hillary Clinton a great big rejection slip!
No thanks! Your liberalism, socialism, corruption and evil murderous programs are not welcome!
Send them your own personal message and slap in the face and one they cannot misinterpret and will not soon forget.
Terminate Gray Davis! Terminate Cruz Bustamante! And terminate the idiot Democrat Party and their complicit partners in crime, the Los Angeles Times, et al!
Vote Yes on Recall and vote Yes for the Terminator!!

Ping -- Jim Robinson endorses Arnold.
Great post.
Pardon me, if you've already seen the thread, I saw some of you on the thread, but missed several of you also, and this is a "not to be missed" post.

Tom also said a while back, that while he is not withdrawing, his supporters can make up their own minds, how to vote.
He released anyone who saw fit to vote for someone else by saying what he said. That was some time ago as I recall, too. Yet he is still taking heat for sticking it out to the end.
Admirable? To many, Yes.
To some, his running was a waste of time. I don;t agree.
He forced ther candidates to address issues they wouldn't have were he not who he was and acted as he did.
That arnie came into the race was a big blow to his or simon or rairdon or issa and their own ambitions.
Right or wrong, it's too late to keep stringing up bows and launching arrows as in a few hours , the polls open and the real work begins.
The demRats know they lost, all that is left to watch them gnaw each other as they scurry for a safe place to nurse their self-inflicted wunds.
Tom will be just fine and will work with Arnie and the GOP to right this once proud state or we will recall them ALL next time.
It is our right to decide who shall lead us and not theirs to just take us all for a spin at their leisure or to take us for granted.

"Happy Days are Here Again"

I just hope they will still be here on Oct. 8th and the Dems won't succeed in stealing the election by some huge voter fraud.
To: NormsRevenge
YOU ... are taking it like a good man norm.
realpolitik IS hard to take.
and Arnold will face some of it himself over a lot of stuff.
Dems won't roll over for him and we will keep his feet to the fire.
and hopefully give him back a majority to cut taxes with sooner rather than later. He better start moving that way the first sixty minutes he is in office.
is there not a recall process for vulnerable tax and spend senators? reps? HE should lead it, and we should go after them with a vengeance that makes the KLA slimes look like a sunday school ice cream social.
IF we win this recall, it looks like we might have started a trend.
"do what we say, and love it, or face immediate discharge"... kinda like a real job eh?
After tomorrow, it won't be such a hollow threat to the the "spend your money" sugar daddies in Sacremento...

Thank you Norm. You know I have done a lot of soul searching in the last week. When the allegations got the thickest, I had to question very deeply whether my initial assessments could be sustained. This was not an easy decision. When the initial reports came out Thursday, I refrained from making much comment for 48 hours while I let the charges sink in.
On Saturday morning I sat down and contemplated the issue of the charges made against Schwarzenegger. I actually came up with reasons to vote for McClintock and Schwarzenegger. The groping charges were very difficult for me to overlook. I don't respect men like that. In the end I had to look at Bustamante and Davis to reach my final conclusion.
I don't believe I had much of a choice but to give Schwarzenegger the benefit of the doubt in light of the charges being leveled in the last couple of days before the election. I will not reward the Times or the Demcorats for operating in this manner.
Both deserve to be taken down, even if this man is somewhat flawed. If we find he is futher flawed, I will join democrats in removing him, but they better have a damned good reason.
To: Tamsey
Heck no...you're doing a splendid job; as USUAL. :-)
To: DoughtyOne
One major thing to consider regarding the charges: Don't you think that if the charges could stand up to scrunity, they would have made them weeks ago and spent weeks harping on them. The very fact that they sprung it last minute, shows that the charges woud disintegrate upon close scrunity, as some of them already being shown to be totally false.
To: Vets_Husband_and_Wife
Thank you for the kind comments. I think Jim's final comment under 1 sums it up precisely.
To: nopardons
Way, way too kind :-)
Lots of great news all over today, too, and it's a treat trying to catch up with it all... a nice change from the mud flood that started Thursday ;-)

I believe that these are credible arguements concerning the charges. After all the searching, this is the best shot they could take. Look Schwarzenegger admits some improper activity. That's why I'm not willing to dis these charges completely. I do not want to get into the position of trashing women who come forward unless it is very clear that they are making suspect charges. On the other hand we can't just destroy a man's political career on charges that cannot be substantiated or rebutted in a couple of days.
To: Jim Robinson
Thanks Jim for voicing what I and I'm sure many others sense and feel as well. I know what I have been seeing and hearing through the media but it is hard for me to come to grips with the level of depravity that, not only California, but the whole nation is experiencing from the socialist commies that are high jacking our country.
Thank you for FR and God bless.
Yes on recall, Arnold for govinator, yes on 53 & 54.
