STAR SPANGELED BANNER
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
'T is the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us as a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

AMERICA, WE LOVE YOU!
AMERICA, WE LOVE YOU!
AMERICA, WE LOVE YOU!
AND OUR LOVE IS GREAT ENOUGH TO HOLD YOU ETERNALLY VICTORIOUS IN THE LIGHT!
Blessed Merciful Father,
Once more, Father, we gather together here in this special place from all across the nation and world to offer our prayers for those who have chosen to defend Freedom in the earth.
We are grateful for this nation, America, and for all her allies. Father, we ask that you will guide, guard, direct, and protect President George W. Bush and Tony Blair this day and in the days to come during this time of challenge and war. Guide the all the leaders of our alliance. Father, we ask that you will reach into the hearts and minds of the people of this nation and her allies who are yet asleep to the dangers we live in and the urgency we face as a nation and civilization to fight the foe's haughty host which in dread silence reposes. That foe lies in waiting to assault this nation and all the gains of freedom under Western Civilization on many fronts.
We see the assaults manifesting as terrorism, fanatical suicidal attacks everywhere across the globe. As the build-up of another military complex in Red China. As tyranny and threat of nuclear madness in North Korea. As unrest in South America and Africa. Father, these areas of assault against Freedom and Western Civilization are undeniable, and we have called upon our young people to take up arms to defend us. By thy grace, they have answered the CALL. We are so proud of them and love them so much. They are the best our nations have produced. We commend them into the Keeping of your Hands and Heart.
Father, we therefore stand before you vowing to support them and their missions. We vow to offer our prayers for them and their protection. We vow to raise our voices against the darkness right where we are. We vow to stand with them calling forth your intercession and mercy overflowing to deliver this Western Civilization and Freedom on this planet through them!
Father, we have been told that the prayers of a righteous man availeth much. We also have understood that wherever two or more are gathered in the name of all that is Good, there is the Presence of your Grace. By those two laws, we understand that you can take our prayers and multiply them into a powerful force. By your Grace, you can take our prayers and forge powerful spiritual armor and armaments to be used to clear the way for our troops in battle. Cover them with that armor. Take those spiritual bullets and strike the Enemies of Freedom and neutralize them! We ask that all this be done only according to thy perfect Will and timing.
We call forth a special blessing upon each one who has given All in this war. Take the ones who have fallen and place them in a very beautiful, special place of rest and honor. Let them know of our immense gratitude. Comfort and heal the families and loved ones they have left behind.
Father, in addition to these very real and urgent assaults which we are fighting, there is also assault on us based on mistaken understanding of what is meant by "Peace." Father, we ask that you will show those who are deluded that peace gained by capitulation to forces of tyranny is not peace at all, but is slavery. Shake them awake! For those who are the purveyors of this Lie, we ask that you will expose and shatter that Lie, and according to thy Will, render those Liars dumb and ineffective.
We have been faced with a relentless demoralization assault for many years which have eroded many of our cherished institutions. Father, we call forth your action, mercy, and intercession to help us solve the problems facing the family, education, religion, human rights, and the many social ills infecting us at this time. We call forth your healing and strengthening of this society.
Father, we are grateful for the personal love and care you have shown this nation and her allies. We reach out to your Hand and Heart and seek always your guidance so that we may not stray. Father, we pray for the nations of the earth that they ALL may be delivered into Freedom. That they ALL may be delivered into the reality of the Vision you hold for each of them.
We call forth your action and intercession. We call forth Mercy in overflowing measure. We call forth your guidance, and, Father, we are here, and we await your Word to each of us individually which thunders quietly in our listening hearts.
Amen

Pinging all Prayer Warriors to a new thread!!
Freeper Ragtime Cowgirl has brought to our attention that there is a Freeper who shall be going to the Middle East soon to perform a special mission. The work this person is involved with is apolitical so it is important that he/she remain anonymous. We shall refer to this person as "A Freeper FRIEND going into harm's way." He/she has requested prayers, which we are grateful to offer.
We have also learned of some special prayer needs which another fellow FReeper has. This FReeper has a track record of supporting our troops with care packages and other ways. The doctors don't know what's wrong with him/her. They've done every test possible and they only think he/she has some kind of auto-immune disease. He/she has only been sick for about a year. We shall refer to this Freeper as "Completely Healed FReeper!"
Blessed Father of Us All,
We have learned of two members of this Forum who have some special prayer needs. We now take a minute to offer up to your care our friends "A Freeper FRIEND going into harm's way." and "Completely Healed FReeper!"
Father, we ask that you will surround AFF during his/her special mission in the ME. Place that spiritual armor around him/her and assign a special angel to be his/her constant companion and guard. Father, we ask that you will grant AFF special insight, wisdom, and the ability to discriminate between friend and foe in split seconds when those seconds count. We are grateful for this friend's willingness to serve the Holy Cause of Freedom. Grant him/her safety and a complete Victory in his/her mission.
Father, we call forth your mercy and healing for our friend, "Completely Healed FReeper!" Surround his/her doctors and let them know what is out of balance in that body! Reach into CHF's body systems and heal at a microscopic level, any and all auto immune problems and their causes and cores. Father, we call forth the binding of all opposition to CHF's mission to support our troops and to perform all other assignments you may have given him/her. Intercede, Father, and grant abundant grace in this entire situation. Grant him/her strength, courage, and oceans of Faith to weather this challenge. We commend him/her into thy care and keeping. Swaddle him/her in a garment of our prayers and your love and healing.
Amen

As our and coalition troops maintain our Freedoms and protect us around the world,
Please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops. Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, prayer is the very best one.
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Asking Divine Protection for Those In Service
O God, I beseech You, watch over those exposed to the horror of war, and the spiritual dangers of a soldiers or sailors life.
Give them such a strong faith that no human respect may ever lead them to deny it, nor fear ever to practice it. By Your grace, O God, fortify them against the contagion of bad example, that being preserved from vice, and serving You faithfully, they may be ready to meet you face to face when they are so called: through Christ our Lord. Amen
Sacred Heart! Inspire them with sorrow for sin, and grant them pardon. Mother of God! Be with them on the battlefield during life and at the hour of death, and grant that they may live and die in the grace of thy Son. Amen. St. Joseph! Pray for them. May their Guardian Angel protect them. Amen.
Special Forces Prayer
Almighty God Who art the Author of Liberty and the Champion of the oppressed hear our prayer. We the men of Special Forces, acknowledge our dependence upon Thee in the preservation of human freedom.
Go with us as we seek to defend the defenseless and to free the enslaved. May we ever remember that our nation, whose oath "in God We Trust," expects that we shall requit ourselves with honor, that we may never bring shame upon our faith, our families, or our fellow men.
Grant us wisdom from Thy mind, courage from Thine heart, and protection by Thine hand. It is for Thee that we do battle, and to thee belongs the victor's crown. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power and glory forever. Amen!
The Marine Prayer
Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again. Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer. Semper Fidelis
Prayers For Our Soldiers
Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the US Navy
O eternal Lord, God, you alone spread out the heavens and rule the raging sea. Take into your most gracious protection our country's Navy and all who serve therein. Preserve them from the dangers of the sea and from the violence of the enemy, that they may be a safeguard unto the United States of America, and a security for such as sail upon the seas in peaceful and lawful missions. In serving you, O Lord, may our Sailors serve their country; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
A Soldiers Prayer
Lord Jesus, Mighty Warrior and Prince of Peace, all glory and power is yours. I offer myself and my military career for the welfare of our nation and for your glory.
You said "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord"; make us mindful of our nation's heritage and of who we are. You said "Be strong and of good courage", this is my prayer. You said "A king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength"; be my protection and my strength. While I defend the nation, may all of Heaven safeguard my family back home.
Almighty God, when you will to safely return me home, help me to see in each member of my family all that I am willing to fight for- life, liberty, freedom and justice. Give me wisdom to share what experiences would lead my sons to Christ-like valor, my daughters to Christian compassion. When Mary witnessed you falling wounded to the ground, she reaffirmed her trust in God her savior. Fill my spouse with surety in your divine plan for me, our family and our nation. You called me to be a soldier. March along side me. Jesus, I place my trust in you. Amen.
Air Force Hymn
Lord, guard and guide the ones who fly,
Through the great spaces of the sky;
Be with them traversing the air
In darkening storms or sunshine fair.
You who keep with tender might
The balanced birds in all their flight,
Lord of the tempered winds, be near,
That, having you, they know no fear.
Control their minds with instinct fit
Whene'er adventuring, they quit
Firm security of land;
Grant steadfast eye and skillful hand.
Aloft in solitudes of space,
Uphold them with your saving grace.
Oh, God, protect the ones who fly
Through lonely ways beneath the sky. Amen.
Coast Guard Prayer
Almighty and Everlasting God, Whose hand stills the tumult of the deep, we offer our prayers for those who serve in our Coast Guard. We are mindful of their traditions of selfless service to the seafarers who make their ways to appointed ports.
Employ their devotions of good ends as they track the weather and search for the seas for those in extremity of storm, shipwreck or battle. Make their soundings and markings sure that safe passages may be found by those who go down to the sea in ships.
Encourage them, O Lord, as they stand guard over our coasts and the bulwarks of our freedoms. Graciously deliver them from threatening calamities in all their perilous voyages. Bless the keepers of the lights and be Thou their close friend in lonely watches. Keep the beacons of honor and duty burning that they may reach the home port with duty well performed, in service to Thee and our land. AMEN.
Night Stalker Prayer
Father of the heavens and the night; Stretch forth Your almighty arms to strengthen and protect us. Even as You gave Saint Michael, Your angelic warrior, power to do spiritual battle in the heavens, so give us power to command the darkened skies.
Guide and direct us in the defense of our country and in the maintenance of justice among the nations. Give us the courage to face all obstacles that might keep us from our time on target. Send Your holy Angels to protect the precious cargo which we carry; the elite Special Operations forces of the United States. Sustain us in the hour of danger with the knowledge of Your mercy and return us safely home.
Watch over our families when we can not. May Your presence give them comfort, and Your love lend them the courage to face each day, confident in the knowledge that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Protect them with Your unfailing mercy and grace. Grant that wherever we serve, we may be loyal to our proud heritage. Make us to choose the harder right over the easier wrong, and never to be content with a half truth when the whole can be won. May we ever embody the principles upon which the Night Stalkers are founded and serve proudly with the memory of those who have gone before. Give us the courage to fight to win and the faith to die rather than quit. Because, Night Stalkers Don't Quit!
Prayer For Absent Family Members
O God, whose fatherly care reaches to the uttermost parts of the earth: We humbly beseech you graciously to behold and bless those whom we love, now absent from us. Defend them from all dangers of soul and body, and grant that both they and we, drawing nearer to you, may be bound together by your love in the communion of your Holy Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord God, you are the God who stand for Justice. Guide us as we take our stand with You. Our understanding is limited and our strength can falter, so we pray for You to make up the difference in our hearts, bodies, and minds.
Let it be so, Lord, with our nation as with our daily lives. Let those who represent us on the far-flung shores of other lands receive an increased measure of Your strengthening. Enable them to see clearly to protect our nation, protect themselves, and protect Justice in whatever land they visit. Enable them to see good come from their labors and peace from their vigilance.
We pray all this in Jesus' blessed name, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

She's a sharp young lady, but it looks like she could benefit from some dedicated FReeper prayers!

He was happy to be home (hot showers, hot food, good hugs) and his family was SOOOO glad to see him.
Remember when they restored power to the Baghdad airport? That was Mike!
We are thankful that he came home safely and grateful to each of you for every prayer said on his behalf. We are thankful that the Lord heard and protected him and his comrades while over there.

I thought I'd take a moment to update you on the people I've put on the prayer list.
~ TruthNtegrity- younger brother, John (Navy), has been deployed, and his family.
My younger brother, John, is home from the ME and in fact, retired from the Navy after 30 years on Oct. 3. I'd really appreciate prayer for his retirement plans - for employment that uses his special capabilities that made him so valuable to the USN for 30 years.
~ TruthNtegrity - lurker friend Pats nephew Ben (Marines) Kuwait and his mother Tracy.
Ben returned last week, just in time for his Grandmother's 80+ something Birthday. He has several weeks off before he goes to Fort Bragg for more training. Please pray for his future in the Marines, for his continued training and for his safety wherever he is.
~TruthNtegrity-Ensign Andy, US Navy - my cousin's son. I goofed - Andy is a Midshipman at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. His engineering courses are even heavier this second year and physics and English seem to be giving him some particular grief!
pilot LTC Andrew deployed, has returned home, seen his 9-month old son whom he'd never seen and is being transferred to a different Air base. Pray please for this move and for his family to settle in quickly.
Marine Keith. Still in Iraq. His son was hospitalized with a serious leg infection 2 weeks ago, and 10-days in a hospital for an active 8-yr old is tough. He is now recuperating quickly. Pray for his Mom, who is now MOM-DAD to their 3 children, the youngest 16 months.
Thank you all of you faithful prayer warriors. I appreciate the burden you feel to pray for those you've never met, who are proudly and bravely serving our Country.

Our very best are serving our country. Words like valor, duty, sacrifice, honor, courage ... words like these describe the men and women now serving in our military overseas. I am in awe that we are blessed to have such fine men and women willing to make a great sacrifice for us, our freedoms and our future. I pray to God that He will remember them and their families and watch over them -- that legions of His angels will be at their side. I pray that in this life and certainly in the next, such sacrifice will be rewarded. To our military: thank you.
