EL PASO, Texas - Two buses carrying nearly 100 people making a "Freedom Ride" to bring attention to mistreatment of undocumented immigrants were stopped for nearly four hours Friday at a U.S. Border Patrol station.
The riders were asked to leave the buses and were questioned, said Hilda Delgado, a spokeswoman on the buses. All were later released, and the buses were back on the road to San Antonio by about noon.
Border Patrol officials in El Paso confirmed that two buses were stopped, but said they were still gathering information. A message left at the checkpoint near Sierra Blanca, 75 miles east of El Paso, wasn't immediately returned.
Delgado, who said she is a U.S. citizen from Los Angeles, wouldn't say whether any of the individuals on the buses were in the country illegally. She said they held up Freedom Ride cards to officials who questioned them.
The cards say that the ride is peaceful, that they exercise their right to remain silent, that they don't consent to a search and don't give up any rights. The card also has the name of a lawyer to contact.
"We have been singing solidarity songs on the bus," Delgado said. "We are trying to expose the injustice of current policies toward immigrants."
Delgado said the people on the bus represent 10 million undocumented immigrants who contribute $730 million each year to the U.S. economy.
"They want to reunite with their families and contribute to the economy," she said. "Our immigration laws need a road to citizenship."
The cross-country caravan, backed by organized labor, began Saturday. Nearly 1,000 people were to join the ride, with 18 buses planning stops in communities including Washington and New York.

Put a bullet in the Bus's motor, unload em, arrest em, send them back, and arrest any American who assisted them.

The Census Bureau said that about 52 percent of the U.S. foreign-born population is from Latin America, 27 percent from Asia and 15 percent from Europe

I would argue that the current open border policy is far more harmful to the U.S. than Sadam Hussein ever was in Iraq. Well, I guess the bottom line is that both groups are illegal immigrants. One group wants to work here, get free education, social services & welfare, work, then send the money back to Mexico; the other just wants to destroy us. Both are destroying the country. Tough call.

In my e-mail to "Homeland Security" I told them that since illegal aliens can break our laws with impunity why should I, as an American citizen, behave any differently. I told them that since the rule of law in this country has now become completely invalidated, that in the future if I am in violation of a "law" my response to any charges will be this: There no longer is any valid law in this country. If illegal aliens can openly flaunt their disrespect for our laws, why should I behave any differently? The only "laws" I will follow are in the Ten Commandments. The "laws" of the United States are now meaningless to me.
I also told them that there is "a vast boiling cauldron of anger just beneath the surface of every right minded American and that someday soon this will boil over and the consequences will be catastrophic."

"We have been singing solidarity songs on the bus," Delgado said. "We are trying to expose the injustice of current policies toward immigrants." The biggest "injustice of current policies toward immigrants" is the increasing time it takes to process applications for those who want to come here legally and be financially responsible due to you line-jumping, freebie-demanding sonzaBeez who think we shouldn't be making such distinctions.
The border patrol ought to be checking ID on all these busses and detaining for deportation any who are not legal.

This alone is reason enough for the Feds to be taking the criminal invader issue much more seriously than they are.

LOL. Bush might as well wear a Mexican Sombrero given how hard he works for Mexico and their Illegals. Heck, he represents the Mexican People better than Fox does.

The TEAMSTERS are being hired as baby sitters/security for the Mexicans and all other third world riff raff involved in this event and actually grabbed away and herded away a bunch of Mexicans that confronted a group of counter protestors in Minneapolis. It's hard to believe that these Union "Babysitters" are rank and file members. The Teamster Truck Drivers are going to see their wages drop precipitously when Jorge opens up ANOTHER American Gate to Mexican Truck Drivers next year. Should be interesting to see what the teamster drivers think about their Union Bosses coddling illegal aliens.
It is reported that the militant Mexicans explained to the American counter protestor that, "YOU STOLE TEXAS, CA., etc. from us and we are going to take it all back now".
The American People have to be made aware of what many Mexicans think about America and our land.

"Delgado said the people on the bus represent 10 million undocumented immigrants who contribute $730 million each year to the U.S. economy." "Wow, they each contribute $73.00 to the economy for a whole years worth of illegal work."
In our multi-trillion dollar economy, that's like almost 0.01% of our GDP!
