Through the week, many of us heard of FReepers who were in the path of Isabel. I personally know Gabz, Corin Stormhands and Consitution Day were in the area. I thought it would be a good idea if we had a thread to ask if someone is ok and let them check in. Prayers to our FRiends in harms way. Thanks!

Thanks for checking in with the status of the DC FReepers. What would we do without you?

I'm glad you are safe. This is terribly incovenient, but so far here we're all healthy. Maybe a little frazzled, perhaps.

Hope he hasn't done any planting lately....it's probably all washed into his neighbor's yard (again). :)

I talked to my parents (10 miles south of Richmond) and two of my brothers (one in Virginia Beach, one in Chesapeake) and they're all okay, thank God.

A lot of my planting got burnt up from the unusually hot summer here. I want to ask some folks for a few buckets of water, but I don't think that would be appropriate for their situations!

I like your tag line, Calpernia. May I borrow it the next time my teenager protests her innocence with howls of outrage, when I know darn well she's guilty?

Howdy, Sis.
Still a little windy here. The rain fianlly stopped about lunch time. We had several big gusts last night, nothing major, just enough to wake me up in the middle of the night. The Greenbrier River is supposed to crest to the top of the banks, so no severe flooding expected (thank goodness.)
Glad to hear your okay!! BTW, we didn't lose power.
xoxo,
Nin

We are all worried about you folks. Are you out golfing or drinking beer? Please check in between sips or putts.

I did have a big tree in the back shear off and almost hit the power lines coming into the house. Luckily it just missed (though it was leaning against this morning when I pushed it off) Not sure of your meaning, but it is very dangerous to touch any limbs that are touching power lines.

What does your tag line mean? I was wondering about that yesterday.

I was out looking for my pants. They got blown away yesterday.
Series, just had some leaves and twigs down. Lost power from 5 - 5:30 pm and that was it.

Now pull those pants up and get back to work. LOL!
