If you think about it that makes sense. The vertabre in the neck are shattered by the scissors force of a donut shaped charge. The intense heat also caulderizes the flesh, preventing bleeding.

How about this one......Posing as a cop, detaining a teenage pizza delivery boy for failing to stop, and handcuffing him followed by neck cuffing him with one of these devices. The next one will also be wired to lot's of explosives on the body with enough ball bearings or nails to shred a schoolyard.

Overly dramatic is what terrorism seeks. I hardly think he did this himself. It makes no sense. Time will tell if there is a next chapter to this story. Until then, I'm delaying that second part time job delivering pizza's.

Watching Star Trek in your fourties provides an entirely different story line than when I was twelve.

Collar Key In Deliveryman Death (Erie pizza delivery bank robbery bomber)

I think there is a possibility of up to 80 percent that this individual is innocent," Professor Robert Heibel, a retired FBI agent, told CBS News Correspondent Mika Brzezinski.

Heibel said Wells likely was set up, a tactic more common to drug runners or terrorists than bank robbers.

Overly dramatic is what

An Occams's Razor solution doesn't agree with you, AND, so far, this has scored ZERO (GROSSLY INEFFECTIVE) on the teror scale.

A prison where every prisoner wears an explosive collar, along with another. No one knows who his partner is, and they can't be any more than 300 feet away from each other or else both collars explode.

Others have said Running Man, but I believe you may be referring to Wedlock (1991) with Rutger Hauer and Mimi Rogers. From IMDB:

"This movie is about a prison, where the prisoners get a special collar. They are "linked" with another prisoner (but don't know which one). If they try to escape, and are too far away from each other, the collars explodes"

I saw the film. Didn't Snake wear one of these collars in Escape From New York?

It is a somewhat standard SF plot device.

Wasn't there some movie with this same concept?

"Wild, Wild West" with Will Smith and Kevin Kline.

I think it was something similar. Like I said - it's an overused plot device.

I've looked in my closet and the answer is "not that I can find"! There are some items like that meant for cuffing a different package(if ya know) Sort of like an explosive castration.

And I'm just kidding about my closet. My dungeon has no closets, just bare walls with chains.

Sure it is. It's not like you would set up to mass produce them.
