Bad Guy:
"Guns make you nervous?"
Bronson:
"No... Idiots with guns makes me nervous."

And so a great man and movie legend passes from life, but never from our hearts.
May he go in peace and with God's blessings upon him.
Shalom, chaver. L'hitraot.

Unfortunately, they don't make them anywhere near like Bronson in Hollywood anymore.
To: hemogoblin
I grew up watching those movies. I must have watched Death Wish III about a million times.
To: hemogoblin
Charles Bronson was one of those actors whose movies I figured must be good because he was in them. I was never disappointed May he rest in peace.

(Go ahead, make my day and re-state the obvious! Again!)

Charles Bronson was one of the last Hollywood tough guys.
Many entertaining and memorable films over a 50 year career in movies.
RIP Mr.Bronson.
To: hemogoblin
...he served during World War II as a tailgunner, then used his G.I. Bill to study art in Philadelphia and, intrigued by acting, enrolled at California's Pasadena Playhouse..."I guess I look like a rock quarry that someone has dynamited."
Bronson has two children with his first wife, Harriet Tendler. He married actress and producer Jill Ireland in 1958, who had two sons with her first husband, David McCallum. One adopted son (Jason) died in 1989. He and Ireland had a daughter named Zuleika. Ireland died in 1990. Bronson married his third wife, Kim Weeks, in December, 1998.
Has anyone noticed that the "real men" are now scarce and far between in Hollywood? Who would you rather have watching your back: Ben Affleck or Lee Marvin?

Does he die every week?

RENT "THE MECHANIC". ONE OF THE MOST OVERLOOKED AND UNDERRATED FILMS OF ALL TIME, AND ONE OF BRONSON'S BEST.

Though the only one of 15 children to finish high school, Bronson worked in the coal mines alongside his brothers to support the family. Born to Lithuanian immigrant parents, he served during World War II as a tailgunner, then used his G.I. Bill to study art in Philadelphia A bio of a Great American.

I have told you 20 gazillion times not to exaggerate so much!

Did enjoy him in "The Great Escape" and only the first "Death Wish" plus the one where he played the secret service agent Killey assigned to guard the prez' wife (who was Bronson's late real-life wife). Got some good laughs in that one which is rare for a Bronson movie. Can't remember the title.

I agree...
not only but I was at that same square on the Amalfi Coastline in Italy and I saw the Church with thte long, long, long steps going up.
As it turns out I sat at the same fountain when I was there in the Navy....
it took me years and repeated viewings of "The Mechanic" but I loved the work!!

"The Mechanic" is just one of those movies one can watch
over and over. I think it was by far, Bronson's best.

In the '80s, I used to call the station TBS "The Bronson Station". They showed his movies all the time.
