Austin Lawyer Barr McClellan is coming out with a book that according to the publishes publicity blurb, 'exposes the high level conspiracy in Texas that led to President Kennedy's death and LBJ's succession as president.'

Barr McClellan, the publisher says, was for many years an attorney for the Austin firm that handled Lyndon B. Johnson's matters.

'His unique and often first hand knowledge of LBJ relationships and dealings' enabled him 'to reveal one of the most sinister plots of all time.'

'Barr McClellan reveals the complex maneuvers, payoffs and power plays that changed the hisotry of the 20th Century' the promo says.

The title is 'Blood Money and Power: How LBJ killed JFK.' The book published by Hanover House USA is to be released September 30. The publisher says 'it will be one of the years top selling books.'

'exposes the high level conspiracy in Texas that led to President Kennedy's death and LBJ's succession as president.'

Sounds to me like the standard operating procedure for Texas democRATs.

If I know my Texas history correctly, I believe Johnson was responsible for a death of a man in the 1940' s during one of his Senate campaigns..

Kennedy treated LBJ as his "boy". Johnson had an unslaked thirst for power. No one will ever know.

Plus it was said at the time that Kennedy was making overtures to pull staff out of Vietnam.

This is going to cause Doris Kearns Goodwin to have a self-induced hysterectomy.

She is always speaking of him in glowing terms every time she can bring up the subject.

Over Vietnam?

Over that, reduction of CIA power, and the return of hard asset backed currency(silver certificates), and a few other banking reforms.

No thanks, I'll rather save my book money for something more credible (Teletubbies) than some spew from a lawyer out for a buck. I've already given my reasons why LBJ wouldn't have done the deed on the other thread - another state perhaps, but not Texas and not with the Connallys in the car.

It is entirely possible to build a completely plausible case for the assassination of JFK by LBJ. Far more divided the two men than joined them. And given the recent history elsewhere in the world at the time, assassination was just another avenue to power.

WAY too much information was covered up and perhaps now is irretrievably lost over the intervening forty years. Almost as mysterious as the Oklahoma City bombing.

Not to get too much into tinfoil but Dan Burton had the right idea investigating OKC.

The 9/11 guys meeting in the same OKC hotel room 2 years ago as Nichols and McVeight did is too suspicious

How can they say that. Kennedy was killed by a group of aliens who looked like Elvis. Everyone knows that.

I remember thinking this on November 22, 1963.

And wasn't this pretty much the premise of Oliver Stone's 'JFK?'

Here is a flash for you. Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy. He had the means, motive, and opportunity. This LBJ conspiracy business is a load of bull.

He was working for himself. He was a communist who was known to hand out communist literature on the street. Don't forget his trip to the Soviet Union for almost a year.

Means.... doubt it. Motive.... what? Opportunity....He missed the best opportunity according to the official theory. The LBJ theory is a valid one. He hated the Kennedy brothers. The LHO theory is also valid, but I think, is fallacious. After extensive reading of the assassination material, I believe he was a patsy. For whom, I don't know, but I don't think he fired a shot that day.
