Excellent example of "connecting the dots". Their lawyers will attempt to isolate the cases and argue them on the basis of individual evidence which may be weak. That's one of the problems with connecting the dots - there is a strong element of guilt by association involved. But post-911 none of our contries can afford to let this stuff slip

"One cluster left an apartment during the night and discarded all of their belongings: mattresses, clothing and computer shells, apparently taking only the computer hard drive upon vacating"

All those ram chips and video cards are just too heavy to carry.

So a couple of these jokers wanted to walk through the plant site to the beach????

I visit US nuclear power plants somewhat frequently, and site access at them is tightly controlled. I imagine that access is controlled at Canadian plants as well.

I recently went on a training trip with a couple of colleagues. The training was being held off-site but near a nuclear power plant. After dinner one night, I said to my compadres, "Let's drive out toward the nuclear station." We hopped in the car and started driving. This particular plant lies at the end of a five-mile road.

I never saw any signs saying "Turn Back, Pilgrim," but we got about a mile from the plant site itself when I decided that it was time to turn around. We did so and within a mile or so, the local constabulary had caught up with us and pulled us over to find out what we were doing in those parts. My explanation apparently was satisfactory as he let us go.

I was impressed. I approached the plant at a reasonable (non-suspicious) rate of speed, turned around a mile from the plant site (there is nothing else on that road at that point), and The Law still checked me out.
