Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

Uh........other than the fact that I don't have a husband and I don't cook pie crusts, I agree with everything else.

"I beg your pardon?"

The only thing you're going to have to beg for is Logan.
We've already got a timer set up at Beth's house.
Your time starts when you touch him!
No fair trying to sneak in holding a leg while he's in my arms!
I know your devious, sneaky mind!

You don't know the HALF of it. You come within 25 miles of the boy while I'm there and, and, well....you just WAIT!

"This is probably gonna be one of the LONGEST weeks ahead of me, waiting..."

Well, I'm not trying to torture you (ha!), but I'd like to remind you of your schedule.
You're going to get in late on the fifth. That means you won't get to see him until the morning of the sixth.
Now by my calculation, that means seven and a half days or 180 hours or 10,800 minutes or 648,000 seconds!
I plan on being at Beth's house at 6:00 A.M. on the sixth!

Have you seen the latest pictures of the miracle called Logan? Scroll up a bit, and go over to the previous page. God's been answering ALL of our prayers.

PLEASE PLEASE continue to pray for him. He needs that canula OUT of there, and a 110% clean bill of health!!

God bless you for coming over here!!

Excuse me. Please. While I know your intention is well-meant, isn't EVERY picture of Logan the Best? Isn't ANY page that has Logan's picture on it, a main page?

I gotta agree that there are no bad pictures of Logan. Every picture is a picture of perfection.

In fact, I like them all so much that after downloading Logan's webpage, I have saved it to my harddrive. Every few days, after seeing that there are more pictures, I have to download the entire shebang (takes about 15 - 20 minutes and I have a satellite) in order to get the last dozen or so that my collection doesn't have. I have to download about 540 pictures that I already have, in order to get that last dozen.

So................ another suggestion.

I would like to see the entire collection of photos remain accessible to everyone, but supplemented with a "Logan's Latest and Greatest Page" with just the last 25-50 pictures posted and maybe some of the earliest ones for comparison purposes?

Thanks TC, it's just so amazing to see how much progress he has made. He may have been born short of weight, but he's not short on personality. It shows right through his pictures.

SPEAKING of downloading..since you've done it...I'd like to take TC's page and put it on a CD. Do you have any hints on what format to save it as so it doesn't end up all messed up?

Saving web pages is sometimes tricky.

And.....you have FRmail! :-)

BTW: I've been burning the Web page on CDs.
Every time I update, I burn another CD.
I'm making the CD manufacturers very happy.

Thanks!

Now....oh never mind. I'll ask you as you're lying on the floor, having been knocked out of the chair from my walker so I can get to hold Logan.

"but he's not short on personality."

That boy has always had personality, even in NICU!
His eyes have always sparkled with an inner something that I can't describe!
It reaches out to you and captures your heart.
You can see that in the pictures.

BG, I'll make you a bet:

I'll bet you a hamburger at Whataburger that you can't keep the tears back when you hold him that first time.
NO ONE has been able to yet!

I like the triple meat, triple cheese jalapeno burger all the way!
