If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
Hahahahaha
TC and I deny, deny, deny we are mean Marines -
lean but not mean, I tell ya !!
Bump
HUH?"
Just to restore your faith that Marines have the right answer to everything, BG, there is no question in my mind that THE DOGGONE DOG is slipping into the bath water in all those BATHS Logan takes!!
It is obvious The Dog has self-destructive tendencies, and we Marines are not to blame..:))
So HA !!!
and double haha !!
Well, then I have THIS to say....since you're SO BENT ON DEFENDING YOURSELF...it makes a person sit back and wonder. Hmmm....why? Why would someone jump to the conclusion that it was the Marines a certain BG was talking about when she said it was a conspiracy that the dog was shrinking? Huh?
Unless, of course, you're guilty of something. The shrinking of the doggy for instance. Guilt DOES do strange things to a person.
The Tonk, my Daddy, the USN and I await your answer.
I'm wondering now if there may be some TRUTH to your supposed guilt-ridden statement earlier. After all, someone who doesn't have the GUTS to put their last name on here, and has to use an X does tend to make someone suspicious.
You'll notice my last name. Gramma.
With sadness I sign off for the night. The dog has been such a protecter through all of this and someone is out to get him.
Sigh. The USN is sad tonight, very very sad.
Joe, that took some careful planning on your part!
This is indeed our first, Brad's Gramma, and while we would have preferred the excitement surrounding a "regular" childbirth, Little Peanut (and the Good Lord) had other plans. S/he has been breech for quite some time necessitating the need for a c-section. The only positive aspect about this is knowing exactly when the baby is coming and having the opportunity to choose the birthday. I, being a patriotic American, originally wanted Veteran's Day but we were unable to get the doctor we desired on that day. I had no idea Monday was The Marine Corps Birthday. Thank you so much letting me know!
What kinda example are you setting for our little guy?!

"A" - CALM DOWN!!
Sheesh - typical hysterical Navy brat, are ya?
You presented a dire problem, suggesting there was foul play afoot, the little dog 'shrinking.'
Kept demanding an answer, so as usual, a Marine had to respond to a potential disaster right in front of Our Boy!
When the going gets tough - the tough get going, so naturally I stepped in with a perfectly logical and innocuous reason to 'splain why the Doggone Dog might be shrinking.
In typical Navy fashion, you were making a mountain out of a molehill...we Marines simply keep our cool and get the investigation going and solved, while you Navy and Coast Guard types sit around and polish polish those silly BIG GUNS.
Marines, of course, use their heads and sometimes bare hands to solve 'problems.'
Moving along to "B" here -
"Well, Missy, it's been one hour. I've given you enough time to come up with a story respond. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
LOL- you CA types think the world revolves around ya - it was after 0100 here in the South, and I had retired to be in top form and able to fight another day..:))
Which brings me to "C" -
"I'm wondering now if there may be some TRUTH to your supposed guilt-ridden statement earlier. After all, someone who doesn't have the GUTS to put their last name on here, and has to use an X does tend to make someone suspicious.

LadyX pauses to yawn over this...it is a matter of there being insufficient room to put "Lady Gramma of Eight; GREAT-Gramma of One," that no one ever would be able to remember and type in an address.
Even little Navy children can spell "X" - - ..|:>))
I leave you, laughing !!!
Our Angel on Earth, Little Logan, shall have the best of us all, is the bottom line...
You are most welcome, MrCMan..:))
Couldn't let the opportunity pass to point this out.
Please add me to your Ping! List when you post a thread to properly welcome that child.
May God bless each of you, as you receive His beautiful Gift...
P.S. - Dare I suggest "Parris" as a name for a girl?
Not too sure about "Island" as one for a boy..|:>))
LOL
Oh, no. Every time I'd say her name I'd think of France. Sorry, can't do that. I'm sure you understand. :)
