If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

Isn't it wonderful? Every single day we come here to see how this little fellow is doing. He puts smiles on faces that might otherwise be sullen. He puts prayers on lips that might otherwise be silent. He puts warmth in hearts that might otherwise be cold. He puts hope in lives that might otherwise give up. Logan is very special, indeed.

I'm glad to see all those tubes removed, and hope that means he'll be going home soon. :)

"Logan is very special, indeed." Yes, he is, Misty, for all the reasons you gave.
UPDATE FROM NANA!
"Good morning...
Yes, it's starting off as another good morning for the baby. He's doing fine this morning... he had a relatively good night..... and so truly he's back on the upward climb :)
There is a possibility that he may even be moved to another section in NICU for the babies that are further along! I hope he doesn't react adversely to the trip! LOL All kidding aside, they will probably wait another day or two, but it just shows how this little guy bounces when he gets in motion!! I keep telling myself that I'm amazed,... can't find another word that "fits"!
Logan is smart! (Of course there was no doubt in this Nana's mind!) When something is tried to be introduced into his little mouth, he tightens his lips together. He thinks the vent tube is going to be inserted again!!...... and then when he finds out it's his suckie.... he's ok! What a little trooper he is :) And..... last night he managed to pull his feeding tube out twice, so the old Logan is surely returning to us.
He has lost amost 2 oz. from yesterday, but considering the fussing he's done for the last 2 days, he used a lot of calories extending that energy to do all of that fussing. Plus, the IV's were stopped that were giving him continual fluids, so it may be a combination of it all.
We hope it will be a great week end for the baby... and for all that have again kept him in your prayers. Without God's help, without God indeed holding this baby safe in His hands.... none of this would be. Our love, thanks and prayers of thanks to all of you and to God for His continued miracles He performs.........
Nana"
YOU GO, TERMITE!

Thanks for the link. I am overwhelmed! He has improved so much and looks for all the world like he's won the battle. God is certainly great. He is beautiful and has a wonderful smart look and sexy smile. Thanks for these inspiring pictures and the music. Give the little guy a hug from me. Tell all the wonderful care givers to consider themselves hugged also.
