Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Wonderful news. I hope Beth is trying to get a little sleep. Sounds like she'll have full time duty soon. Then, no sleep for years.

Whew! I am sure glad to hear you are doing better.

Heavenly Father, how we thank You for your faithfulness ... even in the darkness, the light of Your love can be seen. We praise You, Lord, that never are Your children outside Your care ~ may it be, dear Lord, that by the Power of the Holy Spirit, we better know how extraordinarly precious we are to You, our Creator God.

Thank You for standing watch over Beth's precious baby last night ... helping him to finally sleep. Thank You for the strength You have given him this day ~ the expanse of his lungs and the normal vital signs and a healthy appetite. Bless the hands of those who minister to his needs ... may the awesome way in which You have tended this baby through these hands be a part of the care for all of Logan's roomies ... may they prosper ... may their families take comfort and hope for their own little ones.

Father, words from the nurse are music to Nana ... "I think he's going to be fine" ... how long she has waited to hear those words ... how long she has been in agony for her beloved Beth and Bud and her precious grandson. We rejoice with her ~ with this family ~ and continue to place our trust and hope in You. Lord, let nothing come against Logan to hinder his growth ... let no medical decision be made that would delay him ... it's truly beyond grasp that this little one was born three months before his appointed time, and yet because of this, You have shown us how Your precious babies are fearfully and wonderfully made ... we bow before You in praise.

Thank You, Lord, for blessing all the little children ... all the children of the world ... red and yellow, black and white ... they are precious in Your sight ... Jesus loves the little children of the world. Amen ...

BG, thank you so much for the updates on "The Termite". Prayers are continuing for the little guy and his loving family. I can't wait until the day you post that he's hit 5 lbs., and the day that he can go home from the hospital (that is, if the nurses will be able to part with him).
