Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

I was thinking about Logan the other day. Prayers, as usual, sent for him and adding Emily to my list.

So much sadness..........First, for little Emily, may she come through this safe and sound. May the infection in her stomach pass so she may eat and gain her strength. Her mommy will provide all the love she needs to thrive and grow. My wishes for her to have this chance.
For little Logan, he is a trooper. I hope he comes through this next test with flying colors. He is so wonderful and lovable....I wish he were mine. My love goes with him always.

Oh BG, I can only say AMEN to your prayer! Precious Logan and Emily will be in our prayers. Please keep me posted.

I've written a note on the calendar for 11/21 to pray extra hard that Logan's tests will result in a cause for celebration!

I see that little Emily has a little dog (or is it a ghost? No matter), just like Logan had/has.

I sincerely hope and expect that it too will become an "incredibly shrinking dog". An incredible shrinking pumpkin head will work too!

I hope Logan had an enjoyable Halloween. Miss Victoria, and her cousins, did. Miss V's grandma slipped and fell a little over a week ago. Torn her left hamstring and three of the tendons which attach it to the hip region. Probably nothing for it but 4 months of R&R with some Physical therapy starting in 4-6 weeks. Anyway, Miss V's mother is up helping Grandma with the cousins and Miss V went along. By all reports she's having a great time. All costumes are by Grandma/Great Aunt LaGata. All completed after the injury

TT, Miss V says Hi!

I just received this from Nana, regarding Emily....PLEASE keep praying, everyone!!! Thanks!

Our Emily has improved - She was up to 14 cc's formula every three hours. Then they decided she needed more calories and changed to a higher calorie and she had problems, so they have switched her back and she's digesting again. We just praise God for His miracle with her.

My niece is going through a tough time as well. She has already endured two open heart surgeries to fix her valves and a leak. She is only 4 1/2 months old then developed a severe infection that almost took her life last week. My prayers are with you and your baby. God speed.

Bradsgramma....Thanks for the update BG..
I am glad to hear that Little Emily is gaining..and that they are being so careful with her...

lndrvr1972, I am sorry to hear about your all that your niece is/ has been going through..
My Nephew had open heart surgery when he was 2 days old...it is SUCH a hard thing...
He thankfully did not have any infections..I can imagine how horrifying that would be.
I hope that she continues to get better and stronger and that the surgeries have "Fixed" what they needed to fix.
