Let's face reality:
If you are a patriotic American who believes in God, Country, duty, honor, family, etc, and believe that we have a God-given right to exist as a free nation, and that right includes the right and DUTY to defend ourselves from attack by foreign powers and that as Commander-in-Chief, George W. Bush is doing one hell of a great job in executing the duties of his office and that the liberal Democrats would only roll over for the terrorists if they were in power, and that the only way to ever regain our constitutional government or to re-secure our Liberty is to totally reject the evils of liberalism/socialism/marxism and to do as much as possible to block them from holding office and to do all in our power to cause a complete turnover, ie, eliminate as many liberals/abobortionists/homosexualists/traitors, etc, as possible from the elected government and from the judiciary ---then you are a FReeper.
If you believe that America is at fault for 9/11, or that America actually allowed 9/11 to happen (allegedly to rob us of our freedom), or that Bush actually did the dirty deed himself, or that America has no right to defend itself, or that America would be better off with a Democrat as president (as in: Gore, Lieberman, Clinton, Dean, Kerry, Kucinich, et al), or with Democrats controlling the Congress, or that America is for whites only, or that Israel is the root of all our problems, or that Bush is a traitor or a corrupt dictator who is delivering America to the "NWO" ---then you are NOT a FReeper and you would definitely fit right in over at LibertyPost, LibertyForum, SamFrancis, et al.
And that's the bottom line, IMHO.

It's contagious. I'm sorry too.
We really are on the same page. That's the amazing part about this whole goofy business.

So how about someone like myself who supports Israel, favors the Arabs when they act like civilized human beings and favors shooting them when they don't, think the Confederacy was a good idea with the exception of chattel slavery, Lincoln was inarguably a tyrant, and support and advocate an imposition of a worldwide Pax Americana in as kind a fashion as possible and as brutal a fashion as neccesary. Am I tarred with the paleo brush for agreeing with them on a few issues? Or may I continue to identify myself simply as a twenty first century Jeffersonian with delusions of fascism?Paleo's would probably call you a neo, and neo's would probably call you a paleo, and neither group would welcome you as one of them. That's why the whole neo/paleo debate is retarded.

Another goodie is to refer to Pat as Lord Haw Haw (look him up).
I did. Whew! Interesting comparison, CP. Not sure Pat would go as far as Lord Haw Haw...(Joyce)....but there are certain similarities, I agree.

Your positions are a perfect example of how complex this whole consideration is, and how difficult it is (impossible, really) to stereotype or categorize or label anybody with any degree of accuracy. (Note that I said that "many of these paleos..." subscribe to certain positions, not the whole lot of them.) I agree with 50% of what you've stated. Where does that place me?

It is highly ironic that a Canadian neo-conservative, not even a conservative himself, has the unmitigated gall to defame such conservative stalwarts as Pat Buchanan and Bob Novak. Disgusting, really.

To see a mix of paleo, neo and various conservative viewpoints look to LibertyPost.Org. And for your own peace of mind, stay away from the "Biker Bar" there.

Hmmmmm.... what was that about a
French/German/Iraqi/Democrat/Paleocon/Buchananite/Raimondoan/Rockwellian anti-American axis??Now that is a mouthful and so true! This time I wrote it down so I won't have to try to find that title again -- absolutely perfect description!

Not hard to self-define yourself as a 'great thinker' and a 'true conservative' when you only have 3 topics under discussion.

Your boy Pat is a "conservative"? Don't make me laugh. Lord Haw Haw's Marxist-Buchananist economics have been rejected by 99% of American voters, together with his religious/racial invective.
He is no longer amusing to any of us.

What amazes me is that there are a few folks over there who think that their ranting on LP somehow slowed down the latest FReepathon. I just don't get it.

Then why did "The Death of the West" hit Number 3 on the Bestseller list?
If you are actually suggesting that 99% of the public disagrees with his views because they did not vote for him for President, then I suppose 100% of America disagrees with your views because, if you ran, you would not receive a single vote. Out of curiosity, why does a liberal such as yourself really care about neo-paleo in-fighting within the conservative movement? Shouldn't you be more concerned with the Democratic Primary and sticking up for your hero, Al Sharpton?
To: deport
I agree with you -- this needs repeating ever so often for people that didn't see it the first time (like me). Sure explains a lot of disagreements I have gotten into on here!
