He wasn't a "strange man" -- he was a celebrity who she specificly went out of her way to meet...See I don't buy that. For most women I don't think celebrity really serves as a substitute for sussing out a person's character in a close interpersonal way when they are in the same room, unless you're laying a slut charge on this girl, and, as I went on to say in that post, her character has been persuasively (for me) spoken for by her friends and schoolmates. She may have wanted to meet a celebrity and maybe hoped to make a contact in Hollywood (she is an aspiring singer), but that doesn't mean she intended to screw the guy within the first ten minutes.
Another little sign in my mind that Bryant is hiding something, besides shaving the goatee, was his abysmal behavior at his press conference tonight with the wife tightly holding his hand while he displayed total inarticulateness about what happened except to say "you know I would never do something like that."
I was in Bryant's corner when this story broke, but no longer. The story that is emerging does not jive with the "dragon lady with daggers and dollar signs in her eyes" defense that he's putting out.

It seemed Kobe made an admission to me. He said it was between hi, his wife, his God and may he be forgiven. If he didn't 'rape' this young, white girl, well what does he need to be forgiven for?

I bet that he'll go free. They won't be able to make the evidence stand up in court.

Patrick Roy was busted for domestic violence a few years ago, he ended up shoving it down the DA's throat to the point the DA is gone. The charges against Roy were dismissed and Jim Peters is still the District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District.

Celebrities never do jail timeThat should come as news to Mike Tyson, Jim Brown, Darryl Strawberry, Pete Rose, Stacey Keach, Rick James, Ike Turner, Robert Blake, Sean Penn, Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, et al. Even Claudine Longet did 30 days for killing Spider Sabbich.

Thanks for posting the Complaint...it is always good to have factual, documentary material to discuss.
That's a long list of witnesses. The nurses from the sexual assault unit, the CBI criminalist, all those detectives.
There must be a pile of evidence.
The girl (pictured above in her HS cheerleader group photo) is small and slightly built.
Just guessing, but there must have been considerable damage done to her body by a 6'6" 220 lb. athlete.
I am getting sick just thinking about it.
Bryant saw something he wanted and helped himself. A result of the sense of privilege and entitlement we give to our high profile athletes.
I wish the prosecutor great success in his endeavor, and I commend the young lady for her courage and strength in pressing charges. I pray God's protection over her. She will need it in the days and months ahead.

Celebrities never do jail time? I beg to differ. The entire New Orleans Saints footbal team is doing time. They will never be out to play in the NFL in this lifetime.

Kobe said several days ago :" when the truth comes out everything will be alright" errrr Kobe just admitted to adultry ..."everything alright"????Kobe is a liar, and since he had to be hospitalized { fingernails across the scrotum?}after the incident, I beleive his goose is cooked.
To: rs79bm
Considering his first name is Kobe, Bean s just as odd. If he had poked the UN Genl's daughter and had a kid out of wedlock, they could have named it Koffee Bean.

Even Claudine Longet did 30 days for killing Spider Sabbich. Thanks, you gave me a big, hearty laugh when you brought up THAT one. Here's an on-line description of the "jail time" that one got for killing the boyfriend who was leaving her:
She was convicted of criminally negligent homicide, a misdemeanor, and spent 30 days in an Aspen court house room which was redecorated for her (apparently the jail was not thought to be good enough for her). She was allowed to go a month-long vacation in Mexico with her already married defense attorney before serving her hard time. After they got back, he left his wife and kids and they were married. Aspen is great place to be if you're a killer.
LOL, I love it. Yep, they do hard time all right, REAL hard time. LOL!

At this rate, don't give Kobe any ideas.

I'm on a neutral forum where several of us bait a larger number of Communists (and I'm not exaggerating, someone posted a political profiler site, and score were astoundingly towards the "Communist" side of the economic scale). They've been going berzerk over the last several days over yellowcake and SOTU.
My first comment after the Kobe story broke was, summarizing, "Kobe is going to knock yellowcake right out of the news cycle". Several of the lefties whined and disagreed, but on that exact thread, we had people asking questions about Kobe.
I couldn't agree with your more; while I'm not glad of what happened, whatever that be, or what it will do to everyone involved, I'm glad this came around to remove the media-created yellowcake feeding frenzy.
