Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone. I heard a rumor that if the recall effort gets to the point where it looks like a go, "Gay" Davis will resign and that will put Bustamante (YUCK!!!!) in charge.

I'd vote for him. He needs some fiscal balls to reshape Cali. He also needs to be abale to stomach all the resistance he is going to get from the hacks and left-out wackjobs when shrinking the govt.
Much like Mitt Romney is in Massachusetts (which only has a fractional deficeit compared to california.

I'm afraid CA may be beyond help. Arnold is a smart man but a governor can only do so much. I'd vote for him too.

...and once again the pubbies get outflanked. So, so typical....and whomever the pubbies put up will not attack the illegal issue & therefore put themselves in a position to once again lose.

Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone. I heard a rumor that if the recall effort gets to the point where it looks like a go, "Gay" Davis will resign and that will put Bustamante (YUCK!!!!) in charge.

Here's the law: California Constitution, Article 2, Sec 14:

(b) A petition to recall a statewide officer must be signed by electors equal in number to 12 percent of the last vote for the office, with signatures from each of 5 counties equal in number to 1 percent of the last vote for the office in the county. Signatures to recall Senators, members of the Assembly, members of the Board of Equalization, and judges of courts of appeal and trial courts must equal in number 20 percent of the last vote for the office.
(c) The Secretary of State shall maintain a continuous count of the signatures certified to that office.

All claims of our current SOS Mr. Shelly, notwithstanding. Section 15:
(a) An election to determine whether to recall an officer and, if appropriate, to elect a successor shall be called by the Governor and held not less than 60 days nor more than 80 days from the date of certification of sufficient signatures.
(b) A recall election may be conducted within 180 days from the date of certification of sufficient signatures in order that the election may be consolidated with the next regularly scheduled election occurring wholly or partially within the same jurisdiction in which the recall election is held, if the number of voters eligible to vote at that next regularly scheduled election equal at least 50 percent of all the voters eligible to vote at the recall election.
(c) If the majority vote on the question is to recall, the officer is removed and, if there is a candidate, the candidate who receives a plurality is the successor. The officer may not be a candidate, nor shall there be any candidacy for an office filled pursuant to subdivision (d) of Section 16 of Article VI.
If the petitions are certified the election SHALL be held. If the majority votes to recall, the officer IS removed. The candidate who receives a plurality IS the successor.

There's no way he can promote "Terminator 3" and at the same time do ANYTHING against the 2nd Amendment. Not to worry...he can win and we need him NOW!

I loved his comments a couple of weeks ago at a state republican gathering. He said something about forgetting who the governor of CA is and perhaps the audience could help him to recall him. BWAHAHA!

He has a real MBA earned at USC. He has made a fortune in real estate investments. I met Arnie back casually about 1985 or 1986 an he has a wicked sense of humor. He is all business but likes to joke around.

I heard he had two degrees in business/ecomony. And if he is really that good at managing money, he might be EXACTLY what is needed to fix Calf. budget.

Yep, like I said. Name recognition alone will eliminate anyone else on the GOP. And I was hoping to see McClintok in the governor's office. I only hope Arnuld is a real conservative and not a closet liberal. I guess we'll see who wears the pants in his family..."oh Maria darling, can I cut welfare today?" "No dear not unless you have someone else to sleep with tonight!"
