Do you see your name in those posts.....ANYWHERE?
Now please stop trying to be a disruption or I will ask the AM's to intervene (and I don't do that easily). This thread is NOT about me...nor is it about YOU.
Please, if you have nothing to add of value to the topic of this thread, move on. Thank you.

In 'showboy's' case it many moons too late........ all doubt has been removed once people understood he was a few slices short of a loaf.....

Having a RAT in the Whitehouse in 2005 is giving up far more than this country can afford. Thank God for the GOP.
Otherwise we'd have deficit spending, more social programs, more assaults on the 2nd amendment, an Orwellian "homeland security" program, bigger and better medicare and free prescriptions, and tax cuts for people who didn't even pay taxes.
Whew!
Good thing we dodged THAT bullet.

Some of them tried it in 2000--and damn near got Gore elected. At least some of the "Christian Conservatives" repented of the sin of pride during the FlordiDUH debacle and prayed mightily for Bush--but a few are now backsliding :o)

Potestant churches are where Libertarians go. (rimshot) Admit it, that was a good one
Yeah it was, but you aren't dealing with my very Catholic mother, she also thought for years that "Battle Hymn of the Republic" was a "southern"(potestant), I mean Protestant hymn.

Limbaugh's intemperate comment really shows how tough he's taking it being no longer Da Man.Theer is something to him that has been evident in many Beltway rightwingers who felt a propriatary hold on Reagan. They got in snits when he had to broaden his appeal beyond their pet causes, and Limbaugh, having adored wearing the crown as Leader of the Opposition for so long, can't cope without Republican genuflecting.
Funny how he's quick to point out how nutso Dems get when out of power yet hasn't thought how nutso HE is out circles of influence. This guy is in danger of losing his franchise.

This politically correct arena of compromise is eating this country alive. The real differences between the two beltway parties are inconsequential....

Fortunately most REAL conservatives can see the big picture, and want what's best for the country I'll agree with that. Of course it begs the question, who is a REAL conservative? Is it someone who makes excuses for massive entitlement programs? (Not to say you've done that specifically...just throwing out a topic for discussion)
To: hchutch
If they do so, the GOP will be forced to address their agenda. That is what they are PRAYING for; they actually want Bush to lose so somebody will listen to their issues.
Sort of like the Democrats hoping our military men and women would die in Iraq so that they would have an issue.

Another pro-life victory for Bush while wielding the veto pen:
Congress Approves Spending Bill With Abortion Restrictions
With the presidents signature expected any day, the US Congress approved the fiscal year 2003 $397.4 billion omnibus spending bill last week with several anti-women measures - including continued bans on federal spending for abortions. The House voted 338-83 to approve the much debated spending bill, while the Senate voted 76-20. Several Democrats complained that the 3,000-page bill was rushed through both chambers with many claiming that they did not know what they were voting on, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Although the Senate approved a version of the bill late last month that omitted the abortion bans, both chambers last week approved the version with the restrictions after the White House sent a letter to Congress that threatened a presidential veto of any bill that did not limit abortion spending.
Included in the final version of the bill is a ban on coverage of abortion procedures for the approximately 8 million women in the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program except in cases of rape, incest or when the life of the woman is in danger, according to Kaiser Daily Reproductive Health Reports. In addition, the bill also bars abortions from being performed in the federal Bureau of Prisons system except in rape cases and when the life of the woman is in danger, Kaiser reports. Both measures will extend current law.
Congress Approves Spending Bill With Abortion Restrictions
We should list that as a pro-life accomplishment as well. This link states he signed it Feb 20, 2003.

"Frankly, I don't see the dynamic duo of Bush-Rove wasting four years of a second term. I think they will be very aggressive in certain specific areas and will push for legislation that will begin to exhibit more fiscal responsibility, that will lead to a tighening of the budgetary purse strings."RM, I think you have hit the nail on the head. Another freeper mentioned the other day that by stealing the Democrat "issues" he was forcing the Democrats even farther leftward. I think between that and what you have posted here, we may be glimpsing a bit of the strategery. I have to admit, though, that I have been disappointed in some of his domestic decisions. But even if he broke my heart on every domestic issue out there, I'd still have to vote for him just to keep the opposition out of office, and because he is such a decent man.
