Yeah it was, but you aren't dealing with my very Catholic mother, she also thought for years that "Battle Hymn of the Republic" was a "southern"(potestant), I mean Protestant hymn.

I live in a very Catholic area. My Lutheran confirmation class graduated 5 kids while the Catholic CCD had something like 60 or so. People around here are very misinformed about protestantism. Over the years while discussing religion with people I've heard people say that they think...
- Lutherans don't believe in communion.
- Lutherans don't celebrate Easter
- Lutherans do celbrate Easter, but at a different date a la Eastern Orthodox.
- Lutherans don't believe in the Trinity.
- Lutheranism is a sect of Messianic Judaism. (That one's my favorite)
