We started off at our local B and N to pick up our copy of the new Harry Potter book, and after adjusting the display a little, headed down to Larkspur.
Treason seemed much more at home on that shelf.
After doing our work in Larkspur, we started looking for directions to Book Passage. What better place than a little resturant to have a beer on a hot day like this.
I asked a nice couple there if they knew where the book store was, and it turns out they are friends with the owner. And apparantly they are the only conservative couple in Marin County!
They were more than happy to help fix the cover of our Harry Potter book so we could have Hilliary sign it.
The three of us agreed that if Hilliary would change her last name to Potter and wear those nifty brown glasses her book sales would skyrocked up into the double digits.
They introduced us to the owner of the resturant, a nice Korean man. He used to be the Mayor, and is now on the city council.
Their beer list was short and as it turned out, they only had Corona...with lemon. Wanting to experience other cultures, we found it quite refreshing.
We arrived a couple of hours before Hilliary was scheduled to arrive and talked to the milling crowds. We were told that Hilliary was going to pull up at 4:00 PM and come right past them and into the store through the front door.
I pointed out to them that she was always late and that she (as her husband did also) always uses the back door.
One gentleman asked, "They have a back door." I was able to assure him that the Clintons don't go anywhere that does not have a way for them to sneak in and out with out having to mix any of the "little people"
(Ok, yea we did get some strange looks...)
The rules were clearly posted outside and with much artistic flare:
Well, there went our plan to have our Harry Potter book signed.
While milling around the store, we found two copies of Treason. On a back shelf.
But the sales lady pointed out to us that they had more:
I then ran into a political consultant and activist I hadn't seen for a couple of years, and she took the two copies off the shelf and properly displayed them on a table right inside the front door.
One of them made it's way over here:
Notice the demeanor of the people that want her book...
Needless to say, the "guard" at the front door (male of female, I couldn't tell) spotted Coulter's book after about 20 minutes, and disposed of it.

You have WAAAAAAAAY too much time on your hands. You actually spent a significant amount of time doing this?

Larkspur in Marin County is the farthest left enclave of yuppie leftists in the nation! After all, Marin is the home of such luminaries as the Taliban Loony, now appropriately in jail as a traitor. I know the Korean restaurant owner, but have not visited the bookstore. I'll be sure to do so.
It is now claimed that Hitlery's mega-page ghosted book "Living Banality" has sold 800K copies. If so, there are 800K leftist idiots who will not finish it. It is a litany of terminally boring "ain't I great?" ramblings and patent lies, including the worst of all--the lies of omission.

Nice work! Although perhaps your stunts amount to guerrilla theater, if you raise even one person's awareness in the process, you have furthered the cause of truth. Furthermore, the fact that you get to turn loose some creativity and have some fun in the process - more power to you!

When Hilliary finally arrived (yes a half hour late)... Must have been broom problems in Chicago (was nice and sunny except for when she was around).
Mighty fine work, Zoo.

Here's another fun Hillary stunt.
Dash into your local library or bookstore, and breathlessly ask the staff whether they have "that Hillary book" in stock. Pause and catch your breath while they either begin to look up availability or prepare to helpfully direct you to the Living Perjury display and then, (your sense of timing here is important) at the precise instant when they are about to answer your question, add "you know, Hell to Pay by Barbara Olson".
The reactions you will get are priceless!

My question has always been,"WHO the HELL is paying for her to be flying around the country, doing personal book signings? Well, I'm sure she's not paying for it. Nor is her "husband".
No doubt you and I and all the other "little people" who pay taxes are.
But I don't expect anyone of any significance cares, except the taxpayers--and we don't count.

My question has always been,"WHO the HELL is paying for her to be flying around the country, doing personal book signings? How much is this costing us for the security, including the local law enforcment agencies that have to supply traffic/crowd control??
Is all this included in the daily routine of a Senator, especially a Senator from New York, going to Chicago, and Calif......this really stinks
This should be a "Mandatory Posting" on every Hitlery link.

Keep asking until you get an answer! I suspect her publisher is picking up part of the bill, but I would like to know if we taxpayers are picking up the other half, you can bet it isn't coming our of Hillary's pocket! The GAO might have an answer........

I went into a Borders in the Cincinnati area last night (Colerain for you locals). There was a large bookshelf display for Treason right as you came in the front door. There was sign displayed saying that they were temporarily sold out but that copies could be reserved.
As you got further back there were plenty of copies of Lying History for 30% off.
It warmed my heart.

If we all call our local book stores and ask if they carry Treason [or any right wing authors book ( feel free to call more than once)], they'll put the conservative books up front.
It's a matter of demand.

Corte Medera is in Marin County just north of SF. It is very rich and very liberal. The average home price is close to $1 million. This is jsut Hillarys kind of place.

Too bad the #2 book isn't written by Buckley.
Well, Harry Potter ain't bad. :-)
I'm just one of the few conservatives who, while I agree with Coulter on 99% of the issues, find her style to be distasteful and unattractive. Go ahead, flame me on that one, won't be the first time. She preaches to the choir and is ineffective in changing minds; she does not have the rhetorical power to reach further than her own church.
That being said, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, so as much as I don't like the face she puts on the conservative party...s'fine by me. I'd be happy if #2 was written by a drooling two year old with conservative views. :-) Actually, that might even be better, just to spite Hitlery.

Fantabulous work, Doc!
I was last at a Freep in Corte Madera (probably the same bookstore) when Dan Blather...er...Rather was doing his book tour (June '99).

Amazon has 77 used & new for sale starting at $14.95 and 'Lying Herstory' has dropped to #7.
Many are still trying to sell 'autographed copies' from $145 - $275....I don't think they are selling very well.
There was even one signed copy for $40 the other day.....LOL
