Where's Ann Coulter? Why is Barnes & Noble hiding all copies of TREASON from their customers?

If you take a stroll to your local Barnes & Noble, in search of Ann Coulter's new book, Treason, you may find yourself looking long and hard for a copy. I found the purposely elusive, strategically placed best-seller only after nearly 10 minutes of browsing the bookstore.

Why is Barnes & Noble hiding this book? Treason is currently #3 at bn.com, easily beating out Living History, yet the Barnes & Noble on Monroe Street, in Toledo, Ohio, has conveniently removed the book from plain sight.

I landed at the new releases, best-sellers, non-fiction section; one whole shelf is dedicated to Ms. Clinton's lies (and 20% off too; 30% off, if you're a Reader's Advantage member).

But, no Ann Coulter.

In addition, although a best-seller, Treason is not on sale. Barnes & Noble has apparently broken their own policy by asking the cover price -- this is the first time EVER that I can recall Barnes & Noble asking the cover price for a new best-seller.

What's going on here and what can we do?

Go to Barnes & Noble tomorrow and just try to find Treason without asking for assistance. I’m serious – I dare you (and please post your findings).

I went to Border's the other night to get my copy of TREASON. As soon as I walked through the door, Hillary was looking at me with the air brushed portrait. I looked around and found a nice display of Ann a few feet away. I got my copy and some other books and left. I was suprised. I figured TREASON would be buried but it wasn't. They also had SLANDER and HIGH CRIMES right there. I was pleasantly suprised. Laguna Niguel, Ca.

We have the same problem with the local Barnes and Pedophile here in KC. We call it that because best selling conservative books are always hidden but you can always find a giant front window display of child porn that nobody buys.

I thought book stores were in business to sell books too;
Then after several times on long ago visits to the mall I finally figured it out!

These 'foureyes' that work here are all young....very young people and are highly influenced by the very propaganda I was subjected to as a youth.

I then realized that I was staring into the face of what I once was.

I once was a liberal! For crying out loud! If I worked in that store in my youthful days I may also have tried to hide 'Treason' from any would be buyers.

That is why I will not even bother to shop at these mall stores anymore. I can 'smell' the liberalism arrogance emanating from the young clerks. I would bet they boast about how many passages in hitlerys book they read on their lunch break (when in reality they read nothing and just blabbed on their cell phone for an hour).

BTW, I too am a 'foureye' and love to read. Conservatively that is!

I seriously doubt there is any policy in place to buy books from a distributor and then hide it so that they won't make money off of it.

im in the heart of conservative land and a the Ok City B and N on may ave, it was a not an easy find for someone not familiar with where political books are.

there were 2 copies buried in the current events section. this is in the farthest reaches of the store. whilst i was in there two elderly women were up front where hillary books was with the best sellers looking for it. i gave them the 2 copies because one was not getting around too good. I then had to ask for another copy from a sales clerk. she retrieved 3, gave me one and put 2 back where i got the ones i gave the women earler. i was going to ask her why, but she looked to be about 16 and likely was only doing what the store manager tells her.

this is a very conservative city. B and N has 3 stores here and the other one has done the same treatment with conservative reads. ann's last book was available in the curent events section, but not up front with books it was smoking in sales.

They are doing it because they are a sick mob of liberal gaywads. During her first year of college, my daughter worked at Barnyard Ignoble. She couldn't believe how sick and violently liberal they were. She was one of the very few non-sodomites in the place. B&N bragged that it had one of the biggest gay/lesbian/sicko/weirdo/wacko/fudgepacker book sections in town.

Um...that's why.

had to go to Wal-Mart today and was really looking forward to picking up "Treason" while I was there. I hunted high and low.... no luck. I even looked behind all the other books in case someone covered it up on purpose, they just didn't have it out at all :-(

A poster on another thread (same topic)said that Wal-Mart wasn't going to carry the book, but didn't know/state why. I was stunned and wondered if it were true.

I bought a copy of Treason yesterday at the B&N in Fair Oaks (Fairfax County) VA. (About two miles from the WalMart where Hillary! made her book signing debut).

The book was not out in the new non-fiction releases section. Instead, it was in a stand-alone display rack right by the checkout counter, with a 4 foot photo of Ann. Of course, I wasn't looking for something so obvious, and wandered around the store wondering why I couldn't find it.

Hope you also got a copy of the poster of Ann.

A four foot poster of Ann, what a prize.

Compare that to a 1 inch poster of crusty, what a horror.

Well, you seem to have survived the NEA's liberal "maturation chamber" okay......many young liberals who are even now still running on implants, will someday unlink from the Hive Mind and reindividuate.

In the 21st century, that's how People are born!

Resistance is utile! We will not be assimilated!

Waldenbooks - Key West

$26.95 + $2.02 tax (7.5%)

Worth Every Penny

the girly boy rolled his eyes and gave me the run around when I asked for the title which he claimed not to have in hardcover

I stumbled across one of two copies laying flat on a table off the main isle

When I came to the register the girly boy said they must have been returns and they have no others

Huge pile of the Hilldabeast fiction ....30% off

Ann said that the executives of B&N spent a lot of money on her book, buying the promo tables with her picture for each one of it's stores across America.

I would suggest contacting management at B&N home office and reporting the individual store. They didn't spend all that money for nothing and are probably not aware of the fact that that particular store is hiding this best seller.

I've wanted to buy from B&N anyway as an in-your-face sort of thing.

Spending money in their store. That'll teach them. ;-P

j/k :-)

My oldest daughter works at the local BN part time (her "fun" job). I called her there two nights ago and she knew where TREASON was, how much it was and how many they had. Said it was outselling Hillary and had been for some time.

Look at the local environment and then decide what the people are like. I daresay that TREASON does well in conservative areas, but probably not so hot in Boston. On the other hand, try to find LIVING HISTORY in a Boise, ID book store. You might get lynched just for asking.

That is why I don't buy anything but pleasure reading (scifi) at these stores. All the non-fiction I buy is so seldom discounted that I just get it from Amazon.

I think you are 100% right about the demographic of employees at these book stores. I too was also a liberal when I was young and foolish (a Canadian liberal at that!). I think the secret is to remain vigilant and keep liberalism at bay long enough for these kids to grow up a bit and see the light.

It wasn't made (or financed) in China.

Funny you should post this today...I was in a B&N store (Waterbury, CT) yesterday getting a gift card for my Dad's birthday. I looked far and wide for Ann's book and finally found it tucked into a corner near the entrance to the Cafe next to a bunch of other non-PC books like Dick Morris'.

To be fair, she did have her own display, and quite a few of them were sold. Hitlery, on the other hand, faced you directly when you came in. Only one book was missing from the display.

FYI...B&N used to be one of my clients. Their buyers are one of the most arrogant, elitist group of NYC liberals that I've ever met.

When I was in Oklahoma City I was quite pleased with the Border's bookstore there. B&N was there too but they were just the same old drivel-packed store.

These are the people that market B&N. They usually have direct access to the Board of Directors and Excutive Officers.
