I seriously doubt there is any policy in place to buy books from a distributor and then hide it so that they won't make money off of it.

Agreed. I never alluded that this might be the case. All I'm saying is that "kneepad managers" at local B&N's are hiding the books because *they* themselves want to hid the books (not because there's a B&N policy to hide books; I don't believe there is an across-the-board B&N policy to hide certain books).
