[history]
The Israeli military has exonerated soldiers involved in the March death of Rachel Corrie, 23, the Olympia woman crushed beneath an armored bulldozer as she protested home demolitions in Rafah in the Gaza Strip. The military prosecutor concluded the bulldozer's crew could not have seen or heard Corrie, the Associated Press reported Thursday. That contradicts eyewitness accounts that Corrie was in the bulldozer driver's line of site when she was buried under a wave of dirt and rocks.

The military prosecutor concluded the bulldozer's crew could not have seen or heard Corrie, the Associated Press reported Thursday. It doesn't matter to me whether the operator saw her or not. This was a military mission and Corrie was an enemy combatant in the war on terror. Going against another country's military isn't a smart thing to do.

The picture you posted was taken on a different day or time and probably wasn't even involved in the demolitions. She's wearing totally different clothes in the other news photo. Also, it was reported that she had fallen from the top of the pile to directly under the tractor and he never saw her. Of course, all these palestinian dupes know that the Israeli military is truly humane and would never knowingly harm a civilian. When I was in Israel I couldn't get over how patient and kind those guys were. There's no such thing as an Israeli "human shield" standing in front of a Hamas Islamic radical expecting him to stop. I'm pretty sure that picture was taken from the day of the demolitions. Here is the picture of her body being dragged out. It seems to be the same jacket and pants she was wearing in the previous picture:
I have no doubt that the Israeli military is, on the whole, filled with normal folks like you and me who just want this all to end. On the other hand, there are some bad apples and it is possible this driver was one of them. Or maybe he did indeed just did not see her. Either way, it's sad, no matter her politics...I'm glad I had a chance to repent the crazy beliefs I had when I was young.

Shucks. Like I'm surprised.

That shot was a while before she was actually run over. the papers all printed that as if she was run over immediately after this pic which is false. You're right. The place I found this picture from (an anti-Israeli site was the first one I found) says this picture was taken from anytime between 3-4PM. She was hit at around 4:45 PM. Who knows what happened for sure between then--I've read different (partisan) accounts of it.

Could have been different if she was waving the flag "Don't Tread on Me" Too bad she burned them.

Great website, thanks.
There is a photograph of a dead donkey in the Iraq war section with the caption:
Innocent donkey murdered along with innocent people; all were fleeing from the American bombing...
That really sums it up for me and shows the high priorities these morally superior people have.

Corrie's death was due to her own obvious lack of intelligence.

I remember seeing two types of dozers as well. One she was standing in front of looked very normal and not very big. The other, however, was huge and I agree that she would not have been seen. I wondered what was going on and chalked it up to the fact that it probably wasn't the first time this mental midget stood in front of a bulldozer.

it looks like the distance between Corrie and the bulldozer was maybe enough that the driver could see her? Here is another perspective of the suicide by bulldozer incident:

All the pictures of her and the bulldozer are great. The picture of her that will forever be in my mind is the one of her tearing up a fake American flag, surrounded by little children. The hate and viciousness on her face was telling. Someone should post the picture if they have it.
Behind all the touchy feely things the left says, the look on her face is what lies beneath the surface. There is no compromise, there is no compassion for the other side; there is only hate. There is no telling where that hatred will be pointed next, and who will suffer because of it.
Call me cold hearted; I feel little (if any) sadness at her passing, as people like her do more harm than good.

It's very curious that they have "before" and "after" photos, but no photos of the actual Darwin moment. It would seem that the Darwin candidate spent the entire day chasing different bulldozers the same way that a dog chases trucks.

By standing in front of an Israeli tank she was actually taking the cowardly way out in order to stage her silly protest.

Rachel Corrie must have forgotten the number one rule of traveling/living/protesting in a foreign country.....
RULE #1 - When you go to a foreign country....you have to follow THEIR rules and laws....and if you do not ....you must live/die with the consequences.
Unfortunately, her Evergreen 'Protesting 101' class forgot this bit of information in their syllabus.

It's very curious that they have "before" and "after" photos, Actually, there is a very logical reason for it. As I recall when I went to the website and lifted the pic, the story was told from the POV of the photographer, a friend of the girl who committed suicide.
If memoruy serves: He thought the buldozer was just trying to scare her. As the dozer got closer the dirt she was on, rose up taking her with it. He then ran to try to get the guy to stop. Thus he could not take further pics, until after. By the time he stopped she had disappeared into the pile of moving soil.

Rachel Corrie, Peace activist displaying the 'patriotism' of the left.
I lifted the pic from this website, the blogger seems to have done a lot of research on the subject and it does make for an interesting viewing. But I would advise some of the pics are both graphic and post mortem.
