Hillary No Truth And
No Consequences, Part II
Toogood Reports [Wednesday, June 18, 2003; 12:01 a.m. EST]
URL: http://ToogoodReports.com/"Life is to rise and not to rest," says the motto of my old high school. And so last week, on a pleasure trip to Washington DC, when an opportunity to rise arose I was ready to go.Last week I hopefully saved some of you from parting with a nugget of your hard-earned cash by reviewing Time magazine's excerpt of Hillary Clinton's 'autobiography', Living History. Though I still have not read the entire book, I think it's more interesting to study the phenomenon of it's subject and the promotion of both.
So it was that a trip a friend and I had planned for about a month met with the happy coincidence of a DC book signing by the 'queen of coming-clean' herself. We had been invited to express our displeasure for HRC by Kristinn Taylor, the eloquent co-leader of FreeRepublic.com's DC Chapter who've been seeing to the discomfiture of the Clintons and their cronies for years. They had 'greeted' Senator Clinton the night before at a Wal-Mart in Fairfax, VA.
'Freepers' are to liberals what jock-itch is to athletes except that they are much better looking and harder to get rid of. Having had the pleasure to participate with the DC group on previous occasions, we knew we were in for an illuminating afternoon.
Her Royal Heinous was due to arrive at a small bookstore in the Capitol area at noon and sign until two o' clock or the unthinkable happened and she had more books than schnooks. We arrived at 10:30 and had a seat on a park bench directly across from the store where my friend proceeded to begin reading a copy of the book he'd bought which had already been marked twenty-five percent off. I could tell by his frequent chuckling that the Time piece had not done justice to the hilarity of Hillary's historical recollections.
His favorite was a riff on how she had to delay her work on health care in order to phone members of Congress to gin up support for the budget plan and NAFTA. Putting aside the preposterous notion that a First Lady could influence congressmen (On the other hand, were the 800 FBI files in her possession yet?), one is left with the sole indisputable truth contained in the book that Hillary actually believed herself to be the co-President and that she alone could deliver the goods for the "most ethical administration in history."
For the next hour, the line across the street grew and snaked down Pennsylvania Avenue and around the corner. Also assembling were the dozen or so Freepers, numerous press people and a gaggle of law enforcement and Secret Service types. The breezy, sunlit morning had given way to a sweltering afternoon and all involved were soon engulfed in a blanket of humidity that hung over us like an impending subpoena.
I had dutifully labored in making posters for the occasion but soon discarded them in favor of one which had a shall-we-say unflattering picture of Mrs. Clinton in place of the airbrushed fantasy photo that adorns the cover of the book. The title was altered to read "Lying History" in keeping with its subject matter. When approached by a staffer from National Review whose office ironically was directly above the bookstore and wanted permission to use the graphic, I directed him to the sign's maker, the brilliant and hard-working Kathy Wood, co-leader of the DC Chapter of Free Republic who cheerfully acquiesced.
Soon, police activity increased as high noon and her highness approached. The crowd in the front of the line was parted as the Democrat diva emerged from a silver Lincoln and, gesturing to her subjects, entered the store while the loyal opposition chanted "We Believe Juanita!" Soon after, I was approached by a well-dressed man from the line who wanted to know who Juanita was. When informed that Juanita Broaddrick was an alleged rape victim of his favorite author's husband, he politely thanked me with a quizzical look and returned across the street.
By now, the Freepers were hitting their full-throated stride, running the gamut of chants and vocal presentations designed to get under the skin of Hill and her supporters. Their strategery worked like a charm as the previously wide open doors of the bookstore closed faster than Hillary's lips when asked about Whitewater. Doctor Raoul, Freeper of many faces, dressed that day as Satan (and holding a sign that said, "I sold my soul to Hillary"), addressed those in line with, "Sorry I can't do anything about this heat folks, you'll have to go inside and ask my boss."
There was little give-and-take between the two sides of Pennsylvania Avenue except for the occasional middle finger and one incensed man who circled the block in his car delivering an obscenity-laced serenade to the protesters. Actually, the folks in line appeared oddly ambivalent to our presence. Instead, they seemed to be waiting for Hillary! the celebrity rather than a U.S. Senator or a future presidential hopeful not so much admirers of the woman herself but of her notoriety.
As the line dwindled down to a few dozen, Hillary exited via the back door about 20 minutes ahead of schedule, purportedly to attend a Senate vote but more likely to avoid the embarrassment that her handlers had overestimated the size of the crowd and to give the appearance that she had signed her fingers to the bone and had to 'turn away' the remainder of her fans.
This movable feast of political promotion accompanied by media puff pieces is coming to a town near you, my fellow Hillaryphobes. Grab some magic markers and some posterboard and tell Hillary how you really feel after all, she just told us.

They must have put these books in every conceivable venue. I sure would like to know what threats or incentives they used to get the book in some of these stores!
LOL That'll be my next mission, juxtaposing Coulter's TRUTH next to the hildabeast's fiction.
Thanks for the ping, Ron.
Does anyone else wonder why this didn't at least make Drudge last week? Think our Pres. will be able to rally international $$$ and support for our troops with this woman siding w/ European socialists, selling out our troops and America to an overseas audience?
Hillary Clinton Attacks Bush, U.S. Intelligence Services in Overseas Interview
International News Analysis ^ | June 17, 2003 | Toby Westerman
Praising her husband's close relationship with European leaders during his period in office, Clinton declared that "for eight years we were on the right course to a globalized and integrated world - which is coming, one way or the other."
In the Der Spiegel interview, Clinton asserted that her husband sought to pass "effective laws" and proposed "more money" to carry out the struggle against terror, but "the Republicans prevented" measures from becoming enacted.
Not only is a "globalized and integrated world" inevitable, it is a foreign policy priority of the Democratic Party.
The socialist European expectation will be that a Democratic victory will bring into power a U.S. government more to the liking of one-world European politicians
Let's keep up the FReeper hospitality all over the country!
Priceless!
Now I am confused. On the original list, this appearance was shown to be at Sam's Club in Little Rock. There are 2 Walmarts in Little Rock. Since we are planning to FReep her heinous, it is rather important that we get the correct location. One of the Walmarts is in close proximity to the Sam's Club. The supercenter is in a real bad part of town, but one probably full of idiots who adore her.
I'm not so sure about that. Her flunkees go to great lengths to protect her from exposure to the riff raff (those who think the truth matters). I think the most us FReepers can hope for at these things is to make some kind of an impression on her idiot followers.
Scary isn't it?
You may have just answered your own question. Doesn't that describe some fundamental requirements for being a devout democRAT?
