Anyone who knew whoever knows she would NOT like us to be maudlin at her passing. Remember, this is the lady who has told many of us that she longed to look upon the face of the Savior, so shes blissfully happy. Today, lets make it a point to remember her and the blessing she was to our lives. Lets remember her humor, her wisdom, her inspiration.
Do you remember when you first met her? I do. We met in a political chat room back in 99. We hit it off right away for many reasons but mostly because of our shared faith. For the next 3 years we were together every day via IM, chat rooms, phone calls. At the time I was 24/7 caregiver for my father, and who was the constant in my life that kept me sane (mostly). Over the next 3 years, we laughed, cried, prayed, fussed and dreamed. We took long cyber walks through scenic settings we found online. When Daddy finally passed in September 2001, she was an enormous help to me. I dont know what I would have done without her.
Would you believe that who almost missed FR? In the chat room where we met, there were a couple of disgruntled former FReepers (you know the type) who had her convinced that FR was the bane of the internet. At my urging, she checked out FR and found it to be delightful, so she registered and began posting on a limited basis. Then she got involved on the Canteen and later the Finest threads and was in her element. Boy, did she enjoy her time on FR!! She enjoyed learning HTML and then sharing what shed learned with others. She loved the prayer threads and was a faithful prayer warrior. Those of us who chatted with her in our chat room were a little jealous of her time on FR. Once she got involved on FR, we got less of her time. But we decided to be magnanimous and share her with yall! ;-)
I would like to thank all of you who made her time on FR so enjoyable. This was a woman who thought she might be online for 20-30 minutes a day when she first got her computer! She never dreamed of the treasures the internet would unfold for her.
whos greatest priority in life was serving the Lord. She was utterly grateful for what He did for her at Calvary and wanted the whole world to receive the grace that was extended to mankind as a result of His sacrifice. She even witnessed her faith to the hospice workers who attended her in her last days. From early on in our relationship, I knew that she couldnt wait to get to her heavenly home so she could look upon Jesus face for the first 100 years. It would be impossible to accurately remember who without extending to all an invitation to know the Lord in the power of His resurrection. For those of us who are His, this goodbye is only temporary. There will be a time of reunion in a place where there are no more goodbyes for all eternity.
To my friend, who: I love you, girlfriend! Thanks for the wonderful memories we stored up over our all-too-brief friendship. Thanks for making me laugh and cry and think. Thanks for being a solid rock when Daddy was so sick and when he finally passed. Thanks for loving my little Chelsey so much. Thanks for your unwavering faith in all the situations we faced. You will be sorely missed, my friend, but not for long. Soon and very soon, we will all be together again. Hallelujah!

From ST.LOUIE1
Whoever collected pigs, she loved kittens and puppy dogs, and she was always finding cute things (of which The Thin Man often 'borrowed!') to post on the threads. I've gathered some that she was particularly fond of and wanted to post them here as we remember our who. From her friends, these are some of her favorites: (The first one - the empty frame - she absolutely LOVED! It was her portrait.) :)

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Good morning, Colleen. Thank you. I know that SAMWolf made the
whoever angel for her a couple of years ago, but not sure who did the one with the kitten. I just put the two of them together.
She loved learning new html commands and loved teaching others how to post graphics, etc.
I think your graphic is perfect!

I don't really know who as well as y'all had.
But I do remember when I first registered to post on Free Republic and for a while was a regular on the Canteen thread.
One of the others there that stood out to me was Whoever.
I saw she was funny and smart. and also a wnoderful person. I wished I could've gotten to know her better. but by the time I started to post on the Finest, her time posting seemed to be smaller and smaller. I miss her jokes and her sunny disposition.
But I know she is were she wants to be, with the Lord.
God blees you, who, for being here with us for a time.

Thank you ru and Billie for this wonderful "celebration" of who. I'm so glad ru, that you and your fellow chat room friends were able to share who with us. She enriched so many of our lives and left me with many wonderful memories.
It was such a blessing to know who and she'll be greatly missed.
To: dansangel

Good morning, ru. Thank you for setting the tone, because I don't think I could handle 'maudlin'. :) I will cherish most especially the mail who sent me in November when she prepared me for this time.

The dancing elephants graphic was PERFECT for today's thread. Good call!
I'm sure who and "Mickey" are well acquainted by now and looking forward to our arrival. Thank God these are just temporary goodbyes.
