Why let a suspected bomber get away?

No.

But they create an environment where terrorists can exist.

They are part of the problem. Just like people who see a wanted bomber and don't call the police.

And I don't mean to be rude either by pointing it out to you, even though you may have family like this.

If you knew it was he, you are complicit in his escape if you took no action.

The thing I didn't like about Fox is the way Rita Cosby when calling in with her report portrayed him as a homeless person as if homeless people are rampant in Western NC

Rudolph was protected by folks like this and to hazard a guess there were more than a few people that knew exactly where this ol' boy was. Mind you they weren't going to tell the federal government, but they knew. They were not terrorists.

And if Louis Farrakan and the Nation of Islam knew where Bin Laden was and didn't say anything, that would be OK with you?

Family is family. If he did what he is accused of, then he should be prosecuted. However don't start asking me to turn family and friends into the national government. But I don't think you're going to be able to understand the mindset of folks like this. They did it to protect him.

If this guy really walked into a bar you were frequenting a few years ago, and you didn't report it, it means one of a few things:

A) You weren't sure it was him
B) You knew it was him, but were just too apathetic to report him, or didn't want to be involved
C) You knew it was him, and you support his actions. Which would make you deserving of every bit of contempt I can muster.

Only you know which answer is correct. Are you a terrorist? Not based on your actions in the situation you described. Are you an idiot? Possibly, if your answer is "C".

If [MHGinTN] knew it was he, [he was] complicit in his escape if [he] took no action.

If Rudolph was in the habit of casually dropping into bars to use the public telephones, hundreds or possibly thousands of ordinary people were complicit in his escape.

Maybe Physicist can fetch his slide rule and start computing the dimensions of a Guantanamo-style terrorist prison camp for the country folk who didn't turn Rudolph in.

I have no sympathy for Rudolph; I believe he committed cold-blooded murder. But I do note with mild distaste the salivating joy and slathering zeal some posters are displaying which I believe betrays a covert disire to silence the pro-life side.

So Ted Kaczynski's brother did a bad thing?

They are all saying he was homeless because he was found scrummaging through cans at Piggly Wiggly.

We don't want people who support terrorists here. We don't want people here who support bombings or murders.

Is there any posting rule that states I can't thank you?

I understand that they did it to protect him.

Unless he is direct family, I can't be at all sympathetic to them. Even if he is, I have a hard time with it.

I consider the Unibomber's brother to be a bit of a hero. It took great courage for him to turn in his brother. It also was the right thing for him to do.

I DO NOT advocate bombing abortion clinics. I do not think it is a good idea. I do not want to come across that way.

I hope that is clear!

There was so much playing to the choir and cheer leading that I thought I'd take it a diffrent direction. Sorry that I came across the way I did.

I'm just playing devil's advocate as I clearly pointed out. I simply want stimulate discourse.

We have heard a lot of talk lately about using war to confront evil. I just wonder how far you folks take it. That's all!

I find it disturbing that simply playing devial's advocate gets one labled as a supporter of terrorist.

My mistake!!That's the last thing I want.

My sincere apologies!!

They are all saying he was homeless because he was found scrummaging through cans at Piggly Wiggly.

If he was a survivalist, then what could be more practical than scrounging in dumpsters?

'sides, it sounds like he is suffering from a bit of dementia.

I am from the generation that saw many women buthered, many women died with back alley abortions, which they got out of complete desperation, These stories are very real, very sad.

Also I would like to welcome you aboard.
